What is the relationship these two have ?
I have watched quite a few clips of the pair, generally arguing
on all things boxing.
Those interested you can see them on YouTube at the moment.
Thanks again

Have you seen the one where Ali gets Cus to imitate Frazier's fighting style?
The old dude throws a punch and Ali says something like "Stop. That's too fast. Joe Frazier don't punch that fast!"
Funny stuff.
I saw it on a documentary from ESPN Classic called :
Ali & D’Amato Duke it Out

Poor Ali sure got hit a lot by a fighter who 'don't punch that fast.'

It's all part of promoting a future fight, granberry. Joe's book is full of vitriol but even he recognises Ali's promotional skills and how much green that helped put in Joe's pocket.
Yes, when they fought Ali did get a bit of a touch up. He also landed a lot of his own shots. I think the general consensus is that Ali fought a pretty good fight all things considered.
Do you recall in their 2nd meeting how the ref messed things up when Ali had Joe in trouble? I'm surprised you haven't included that in your litany of crooked acts by refs. Or doesn't it count as crooked unless it is beneficial to Ali?
