From reliable sources, former heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe is about to goad former champ Lennox Lewis out of retirement to finally settle a long-standing feud that dates back to the 1988 Olympics. This all started back when Lewis was on set in New York for Donald Trump's reality TV show, "The Apprentice", and Riddick Bowe came on the set and started heckling Lewis. I can't see Lewis entertaining it; he has nothing to prove against anybody, especially man who wasn't man enough to fight when they were both in their primes, yet continually hurled insults like a school bully.

On this same, rather bizarre theme, keep an eye out for Torquay's Gareth Hogg in Oz tonight, where he takes on Thai southpaw Komgrit Nanakorn in a 12-rounder.
Hogg, you will remember, 'went missing' prior to a challenge for the British light-heavyweight title held by Brockley nightmare Peter Oboh in Torquay in October 2006 and emerged Down Under and has apparently impressed in sparring sessions with Anthony Mundine and Paul Briggs. He's a puncher, with seven of his 11 victims taken out, and lost only to Matthew Barney in 13 outings in a four-rounder in 1999 on points. It was Hogg's second pro fight (Barney was 6-0) and he's reeled off 10 wins and a draw since, including a six-round decision over Neil Simpson in February 2006 in Plymouth for probably his best win.
Hogg, incidentally, was not the first man to duck out of fighting Oboh. In fact, he joined a long list of mandatory challengers to do so. Ironically, Oboh himself later walked out on a fight with Tony Oakey. The bigger they are, the flakier.

This time in 1993, Bowe -v- Lewis was the most anticipated HW fight for many years.

It was the most natural fight of the time & probably would have been a classic, yet after years of insulting Lewis; when it came time to put up, Bowe ran like Carl Lewis & threw his hard fought world title belt into the bin.

The man is 100% coward; no question.

Lewis will destroy Bowe if it ever happens. Bowe struggled to beat Billy Zumbrun 3 years ago (weighing 280)! In fact most thought he got a gift decision. Lewis wouldn't even have to train a day to beat him right now.
