Well it seems that at this point Mundine wont be overseas till next year if some of his post fight comments are anything to go by.Soliman and Green next??What?Green i can understand as dont know how much time there is left in the machine but Soliman again!!!!!Suppose a rematch clause is just that BUT.What about mandatories.Forgive my ignorance but
1)doesnt the WBA have to at some point tell Mundine he has to fight a mandatory and in what time frame?Who is the likeliest candidate?
2)as i assume Calzaghe is gone from the SMW ranks for good when will Mundine get upped to full status champ?Cant wait for that...NOT.
3)while i think Soliman is not a bad opponent i CANNOT for the life of me see him beating Mundine regardless of what he says about trying too hard to knock him out last time etc.....That said i did feel,despite enjoying the fight against Hamdan,that Mundine didnt get out of 3rd gear and perhaps didnt go for broke to KO Nader coz he is his mate even thought clearly he did have him stung a few times.Also Mundine did seem to get tagged a bit and while Green may not be fast by any stretch he surely isnt slower/a worse boxer than Nader(not saying either are bad boxers just relative comparison).Sooooooo is the potential bout against Soliman ,in chocs mind anyway,just an easy money fight against someone whom there is obvious BAD blood(moreso even than Green).
3.1)did anyone else feel choc perhaps put on a less than stellar performance vs Nader or is that being too harsh on Naders efforts(which i think there was alot of)
4)with talk of fighting Green (and being very dismissive of everything Green)is Mundine getting too overconfident about a result against Green in a rematch or is that just yabber.Now before Mundine lovers berate me I am quite aware that last time out it was a clear case shutout victory.No question. I was suprised but IMO Green looked sickly at SMW.So if the rematch does happen it surely cannot be at SMW-wots the point.Catchweight,light heavy??????I feel Green would be stupid to go down but will he be enticed to?!?!I honestly think he has no chance vs choc at smw but then would choc risk(?)going up?
5)if choc did lose either then hes up shit creek,especially vs Soliman if its at SMW(give that a 5% chance).This is not a question JSA u goose.

Apologies for all my innane questions but I am just a tad puzzled at the moment.Also know its a 100% speculation post but.....I just really want to see Choc fight someone he hasnt(Kessler rematch aside)and someone that is a currnet legitimate contender in the SMW ranks.

I dont think a rematch with Soliman does anything for either fighter,. Sam should contrate on Middleweight where he can be effective. He is too small at Sup. Middle and Choc should be eyeing some big name international opponents. Sam apparently blamed an injury during the second fight for his performance. I am a huge Sam fan, but I blamed Choc and his right hand for that result. I like the idea of a Kessler rematch to decide who should hold the belt....Kessler to repeat the first result in my opinion.....if the Hamdan fight was anything to go by.
I thought Choc was a little off his game against Nader, but take nothing aay from Nader he kept pressing and Choc did land some flush punches. What a chin Nader has.
A Green rematch will only happen at Light Heavy, no questions. Danny is in no hurry for the rematch and sees there are bigger fish to fry in the Light Heavy div. I believe he is looking at a unification bout with Erdei after Garay.....if that eventuates Green will look to Woods/Tarver/Dawson/Johnson. So Mundine is at least 2 to 3 fights away for Green. There has been talk Green will only fight to the end of this year, I say more likely the end of 2009.

REALLY hope green goes for broke in LHW.IF he gets thru his next opponent a fight with Erdei would be awesome AND would then lead the way to the other names and recognition/fights in the US.Id like to see that.

Guess time will tell re choc.I sense disappointment when his next fight is announced though.Kessler again would be GREAT but think the Dane would be too good again.And i reckon choc knows it.

Its Soliman that wants the fight with Mundine, And is hoping to have it in Melbourne or USA, I really think its a waste of time as Soliman got his a$$ kicked...And has not looked like the same fighter that took Winky 12 rounds afew years back.
Bika would be the best choice to rumble if Mundine cant land a fight with that IBO belt holder that droped Vic Oganov.

Out of interest, is his manager/trainer Dave Hedgecock over there with him?

IMO - Green vs Erdei would be a good fight, and if Danny comes in to the fight fresh and in good nick, he will catch Erdei and KO him. It took 10 rounds for Erdei to put Murdoch away, and we know what Danny did to him. I know you shouldn't compare fighters by mutual opponents, but I think Danny should win. I hope he doesn't have to go to Germany for the fight though, it's not his favorite hunting ground. It's the best fight to spring-board his final foray to the top of the division. Go Danny.

As far as Mundine goes, if he did get the 'full' WBA title via Calaz moving up it would be another belt he has received without fighting the champion. Seems to be a common theme. Forget Soliman and Green for that matter, Bute is the man he should be chasing. That is a winnable fight, and would actually mean that Mundine has fought a champion and won the belt off him. He is getting better, but his window of opportunity is limited. Mundine needs to make this happen.

Khoder Nasser shows a lot of the traits that I personally don't like in bussiness people. I could never trust him.

You know with Sams exposure in the US this is a good fight for Choc to take, and travel to the USA. I spent big bucks from Perth to Sydney to watch choc belt sam and unfortunately I think at super middle it happens again. A fight for mundine to get recognition in the USA.

Kessler beats Mundine again easy....

Certainly good exposure especially if choc does a repeat performance of fight 2.Just got a bad feelin Sam would attempt spoiler mode and the fight would suck-BUT also think choc would eventually catch him.At least it would get him to an overseas fight again.Thought Sam was trying to have it in Melbourne or something.And with Hamdan calling out Sam after the fight the other night cant wait to see what eventuates(not that i think Sam will fight Nader again-pointless exercise,for Sam at least).

sad but alas possibly very true.Wonder how long people will keep paying PPV and actually going to the fights especially considering the woeful undercards.Comparing the crowd size at the local pub i watched the last fight at(there was about 20 people)to when he fought Soliman(the place was FULL=standing room only)perhaps he may shoot himself in the foot.
But thats in Adelaide and sure there are far more fans of his in NSW etc where even if he fought a random grandmother with a gammy hip they would still say great fight/what a champion and SADLY pay to see it.

His loss to Ottke was expected and ok, but the KO was not.

Mundine has a fair chance of beating Ottke and Siaca and the Australian public would pay to see him try to venge those defeats.

Therefore I think Choc should go for Siaca or even better Ottke.. I would love to see Choc beat the crap out of Ottke!

Siacas been out of the ring nearly 2 years and it doesn't look like he's getting back in any time soon. Ottkes been out 4 years and I don't see him having another fight after his "Superfight" with Darius.

think thhe Ottke thing iss just pure dream.Hope Darius smashes him just on principle not so much for beating mundine.
The Siacca reference i made was wondering whether if chhoc fought Bute would it be a similar fight.I have no ideas about what Butes skill level/speed are but he does seem to be quite a big bloke and with a punch(?).
With all the attention soon to be on other fighters especially come April with Greens defence hope we may hear something regarding Chocs next fight and lets just hope it wont be a disappointment.If it is Soliman well i will still try watch it BUT wont be expecting much.Even a better undercard!
