See my comment above fella. SKY made an incredibly low offer (15% of asking price from what I've been told), and Setanta didn't bother. They also provisionally had Peter v Maskaev, but didn't follow through with it. I'm worried their boxing budget has been slashed, or eaten up by Woods and Calzaghe.

Very disappointing. I was looking forward to Juan Diaz-Nate Campbell on that bill.

Ended up with Haye Macca that night so it was always doubtful to be shown. Setanta will have a great couple of weeks in April. Woods, Calzaghe and Arthur fights all on Setanta.

What the hell was that all about anyway? I hope they didnt pay actual money to show it. Chavez is useless, living off his name. His opponent was even worse and the undercard was terrible. Someone needs to have words with whoever contols the budget at Setanta if they're spending money on that then missing out on cards like tonights and Peter-Maskaev.

Every fight cost money fella. This would cost more as it was a PPV. I'd hazard a guess at $25,000, as no titles were involved.

To be fair to Sentanta, their budget probably wasn't expecting Rees, Woods and Calzaghe fighting within a month.

Reading reports of 'Fight of the Year so far' is maddening because it was so predictable.

You wonder who calls the shots at Sky and Setanta in picking what to show.

To screen the heavyweights last week on Sky and JC Jnr in a nothing fight on setanta while letting this go is incredible.

You'd think they could consult Jim Watt and Richie Woodhall respectively

I watched the fight and it was a cracker. I can't believe British TV missed out on the fight again. Someone should but the right and show it on delay. Show it during the week.

I know the SKY version, so will pass your moanings on to him chinny (I did the same!). For some reason they love HW at SKY. I have no idea why. They were going to bid for Peter v Maskaev, but I've heard nothing since.

The fact that IMO they have the best commentary team also grates me!
