Its probably been asked else where - but why wasn't Frank involved at all with Haye... is their relationship over?

I would have liked to have seen Haye shown more appreciation for Frank who at least assisted in guiding him to Pole Position with the WBC and done a great job in picking up the pieces post Thompson.

Didn't realise he had split from Maloney. Was wondering why he wasn't present at ringside before/after the fight. Haye managing himself could end up in disaster, very few do it effectively, just look at A-farce. Maloney did well for Haye's career and he would do well to acknowledge that.

I thought it was a bit insensitive of Haye to say in the ring after the JMM fight that he was a free agent so lets get it on with Enzo. Esp. since Frank was stood next to him and got him the title shot!

I suppose Maloney got him to the titles - EBU and unified World champ - and then Warren delivered the big "event" fight for the big money, that has catapulted Haye to stardom.

sorry to be picky mate - It wasn't Frank Maloney who got David Haye the European Title - it was Fight Academy - David made is first defence on a Maloney show - Gurov was touted for Haye because of some extensive sparring the 2 of them did in the UK and it was Team Haye who believed Gurov was there for the taking and insisted on them fighting Gurov.

With regards to Frank - he is a born survivor in the boxing world and have no fear he will be doing well in boxing regardless of what else is going on around him.

I'll settle for Maloney got him the fights that prepared him physically and mentally for the world title.

There is no doubt in my view F rank Maloney is a bloody good manager and promoter - but Team Haye are shall we say a law unto themselves in that they handpicked the opponents - the promoters supplied the money to pay them.

I am sure Adam Booth will not mind me putting it diplomatically that Team Haye drove a hard bargain at all times - some people found them difficult to deal with whilst others did not.

yeah, Haye does seem strong willed and comes across as a guy who won't be dictated to (like Benn in some ways) or held back.

The fact that he was fighting old ama foes like Frago in defending his EBU title seems to back this up as well.

the smarts Haye and Booth showed in making the Enzo Mac fight does put them across as guys who know exactly what they are doing and where they are going.

Yes, but he still needs a promoter IMO and Warren can get him the big money better than anybody else. Having said that full credit to Frank Maloney, who did a great job.

Haye to stick with Warren or join up with Golden Boy?

I cannot see Haye signing a long term deal with any British Promoter, unless there was a huge amount of money on the table.

I can see him relocating to America, and imagine it will be a three fight deal at most with anyone, or perhaps like Hatton a fight by fight deal, and an agreement with a network.

You have got it spot on - Haye will rightly go where the money is - and my bet is as you state he will not get tied down to any form of long term contract with a promoter.

ok, all a bit pie in the sky, but it certainly sounds good, its proved very marketable, and booth and haye certainly proved that they 'roll the dice' .. they are not afraid to gamble and take on the big boys, both in the ring and out of it.

If they're offered huge sums of money, and a large amount of pull at the bargaining table (which GBP do, espeically with HBO and in the US in general) I'm not convinced fella.
