Looks like a decent enough match, then. Should be an interesting one. Does Choi have much support from the Oldham area, where he is based.

On paper a very good match up. Been wanting Choi to step it up for a while now to see how good he actually is when he mixes it in a higher class.

Choi can't box for the British the Commonwealth or the European and he lives in England. Do the maths.
That's why people in this country outside Oldham know little about him that's why he's had to call out Morales and Barrera after fights before, to get fights.
I've never seen him live myself but if he can live with sparring Hunter he must be decent I'd have thought. I'm not sure if he's used to boxing at a higher level though as Matthews has on occasion.

It looks like he has lived in England for about 8 years. As such, he may well bring a good deal of support from his local area - I hope he does ,thats always good for a fights atmosphere.

Very tough fight for Derry, that. Choi has a granite chin and can bang a bit. I still think Matthews can outbox him with his reach and speed though. I just hope it doesn't get too dirty and scrappy!

yeah derry is a quality boxe, but maybe this fight will bring out the best in choi??

Choi is hard as a coffin nail IMO. Just an impression. He comes from the land of Mongolia, them folks are tough from what I've seen. They break in wild horses and make them do work and hard stuff like that..........if Derry Matthews gets dirty, Choi will deal with like for like, of that I am certain, and I don't mean certain like I was certain Enzo Mac would've won on points, I mean proper certain.
It looks clear that Choi will have to get inside and work as I'd say he'll be giving away a good bit of heart and reach. I'm pleased he's got a big fight for a change

I think Derry will box his head off quite easily..He rushes in in straight lines and is very predictable..Telegraphs the right hand far too much as well..He's super tough and quite strong but that's not enough to overcome "Dirty Derry" I see a late stoppage win for Derry...

I agree with Everton on this.

Good one this, i've never seen Choi Tseveenpurev box, but going by reports he's a strong come foward boxer, who can punch a bit.

Yeah, quality match up. Choi has lived here for about 8 years, his last 21 fights (1 in Denmark excepted) have been in Britain, I think its fair to call this a domestic match up- those often tend to be the best, most balanced fights on these shows.

This bill is shaping up nicely now with a world title unification fight added on.
