I actually thought he summed up the fight extremely well.

Said it how it is - yeah okay may have gone slightly over the top - but did you or anyone else seriously have Rees in the fight? - I didn't it was just a question of when Kotelnik was going to stop Rees.

don't get me wrong what a brave so and so Rees is - won my respect but quite simply he was boxing outside his class.

If you or anyone else has a problem with Bunce saying it how it is - I would suggest it is you who has the problem.

I think you are missing the point a bit there.

Bunce might be correct, its his "in your face" attitude that some find annoying- I agree, he is a bit full of himself, especially as he is just a presenter/interview.

i wasnt questioning his summary of the fight just his full obsessed persona. i never disagreed with his fight report just the way he thinks he is better than the two men giving their all in there

Bunce is passionate about boxing and says it how it is - what the f*ck is the problem with that.

If any of you taped the fight - re-view bunce being interviewed and then tell me what the f*ck he said which was so outrageous or so wrong.

Absolutely right

I just wish he wouldnt constantly interrupt when Richie is trying to explain his scoring.

Richie deserved lambasting for his insane scoring, Rees was nearly out on the deck in some of the rounds Richie scored to him

Completely understand anyone finding Bunce's me! me! me! grandstanding a little annoying.
He'll often say to Ritchie, as they're sitting on their deckchairs on the beach, holidaying together "Anyway, that's enough about me. What do you think? About me?"

Absolutely.

I thought Ritchie could score a fight well - as when he admitted "I didn't win that fight" after 12 rds with Catley.

But he definitely gave Rees too much credit. That was a good pro job from AK and Rees was shoeshining most of the time.

Props to Bunce for having a good go at Barrie Jones' fans who were hurling abuse at Tony Doherty

In fairness maybe he had a bad commentary position or maybe he was just gunning for the Brit (although I doubt many of Welsh counterparts gun for the English)

Buncy was spot on, how anybody could see it different is beyond me.

I think on Setanta some of us are always going to complain about one member of the team. This is why: on many of their broadcasts they have managed to get a strong clash of personalities. For instance that 1st broadcast on the Hatton-Castillo night: it was obvious McGuigan and Bunce hated each other etc.

Bunce can be a bit over the top but he was pretty much on point with his comments on the Rees fight.

completly agree with the larry merchant comment i just think the steve bunce of a few year ago was a bit different to the one we see now due to the fact he now thinks he is a bit of a tv guru

true yeah buncie has got a bit more full of himself, he hasn't reached that level of obnoxiousness (is that a word? anyway) just yet for me, perhaps in a year he might be doing my head in, but he's alright for the time being.

Personally, I'd rather they show more fights and less pundit-chat, but I do appreciate that a bit of background/afterchat/hype etc is important for more casual viewers.

I thought Richie Woodhall got his scoring completely wrong - a lot of Rees shots were hitting the arms and gloves of Kotelnik and if that wasn't happening they were missing altogether.

Rees was soundly beaten but showed one hell of a lot of b*llocks by keeping on going.

Woodhall for one of the first times I can remember did not have a good night - Bunce was spot on with his comments.

Its a bit of Eric and Ernie isnt it. Buncey being Eric and Woodhall playing Ernie. Maybe a strange analogy but I think you should understand what I mean. Buncey entertains with his over the top manner but never the less good fight knowledge and Ritchie is more down to earth with his view of things. I think Setanta see Buncey as good value for money and lets be honest he does add something, I like him. Buncey is the poor mans Alexi Sayle LOL.

Bunce is fast becoming the Sid Waddell of Boxing. The master of Over Statement and over excitedness!!

Agreed with his comments on the fight, but calling anyone who scored it wrongly a disgrace was a bit OTT. Especially with Richie Woodall stood next to him!
