Katsidis? Too much to lose and nothing to be gained from a fight with him.

Casamayor and Campbell- wouldn't have reason to fight Khan.

I hope to high hopes that they don't go down some bulls hit IBO or WBU route, but anything else at Lightweight seems unlikely.

They might organise a fight with Kotelnik at light Welterweight. It could be a decent earner for Kotelnik and you never know............

It would definitely be a big step up for Khan.

I think Amir still pulls back with his chin in the air. This could be asking for a KO defeat until he fixes it.

Anyway, beat the Dane for the WBO ranking. Then face the Thaxton-Romanov winner which is bound to be Romanov. Romanov has hell with movers, so Khan can beat Romanov for the EBU lightweight.

Then see how things look and try to push for someone like Ring mag champ (Casa-Katsidis winner) or more likely WBO, WBA & IBF champ Campbell. Campbell is a hard nut but he's also 36. He also may have to drop a title or two to keep up with mandatories.

Can Khan do it? He does seem a bit young for the job but he wants to be one of our youngest ever champs.

Kotelnik's an excellent fight as well as he is a UK regular. But right now he looks a bit too well schooled. I say wait & see what happens with Kristiansen and Romanov. See how ready Khan is

I agree with all of that Autobarn. The path looks clearer for Khan as time goes by. However, I don't think he'll clear those boxers without a defeat; I still can't see him fixing his problems, given their continued occurrences.

Anyone with good head movement, experience and a bit of power will give him hell.

It just looks so much better now that we know Juan Diaz isn't all that. That Diaz was made to look a killer because two weak title holders - Julio Diaz & Freitas - quit against him.

I like the look of lightweight. Campbell & Casa magnificent old vets. Katsidis exciting, Romanov hitting hard, Anthony Peterson promising if hot headed, John Murray in a terrific matchup with John Fewkes (reckon Murray will be seen as a big prospect after this one). Khan will bring big money to the division.

Khan's a bit like the young Hide. We need to see him fight someone he can't bully. His punches are fast but predictable; his feet are rooted when he throws a combination. Tyson used to be so fearsome because he'd move mid-combo.

Great comparison. Khan not a natural born puncher like Hide but yes i see your point. Hide whacked a long string of journeymen whilst calling out but never fighting Bruno, Lewis and Akinwande.

Other than when that aussie Craig Petersen belted him on the chin & decked him he had everything his own way, very much like AK.

Khan has the raw talent. Now he has to have seasoning. I think they should bring over some hard Mexicans like Sants Cruz, who will keep attacking and not fold.

The Romanov-Thaxton winner should be 1st priority however.

The lightweight class is going to be very hard before long. Two crafty,, nasty 36 yo champs Casa and Campbell.

Tough/limited David Diaz and one Manny Pacquiao ready to do battle with each other.

A very strong, well schooled Anthony Peterson on the way up. (I felt he was going to be the man to dethrone Juan Diaz but Campbell beat him to it...)

Sluggers Juan Diaz and Michael Katsidis, on the rebound from loss to Campbell & Casa. Santa Cruz waiting for another crack at something, after controversial loss to Casamayor.

Romanov, a very hard hitter. Prospects John Murray and John Fewkes (who fight EACH OTHER in May, how about that), and several big British super feathers who will probably grow into lightweight.

There doesn't appear to be any backdoor way to the top in this case.

I'll bet Casamayor would come for a big enough payday. He's not exactly a superstar, and is desperate for a big fight.

Don't think Frank would fancy the risk reward however.
