Seeing as Saul Mamby just lost a ten rounder at age 60.
I was curious to know who the other ancient boxers are..

Jem Mace was still boxing in exhibitions as late as 1905. He was born on April 8, 1831. That would make him almost 74 at the time.
He fought a couple of draws in 1896 and 1897 against another old timer - Mike Donovan. He also boxed an exhibition in Syracuse in April 1897 against the current welterweight champion, Tommy Ryan.
His last truly "competitive" bout - advertised as for the championship of England - was against Charley Mitchell in 1890, when he was 59. It was stopped in the fourth round by police.

Dan Mendoza was 1 day short of 56 years old when he fought last time, his opponent was "only" 51 years old at the time. 40 years had passed between Mendoza's first and last fights. This would be equal to Duran still fighting today.

Jack Johnson was 60 when he fought his last pro fight.
He got KO'd in the 7th round by one Walter Price.

Walter Edgerton, The Kentucky Rosebud generally holds the distinction of being the oldest person to have a boxing match, but I think Mace's record is far more impressive.
