Cooney- Holmes in 1982.
The word electricity was invented for the atmosphere at Caesars that evening. Everyone from entertainment to politics to sports was in attendance. It was a good fight too.

In terms of importance, probably Terry Norris vs. Meldrick Taylor at the Mirage in Las Vegas
In terms of action: Jesus Salud vs. Rudy Zavala at the San Diego Sports Arena, & Kennedy McKinney vs. Marco Antonio Barrera at the Forum in Inglewood.

Hi, Voice, were you working the Norris-taylor fight?
My best was probably Benn-Eubank I.

Hatton vs Tszyu was incredible. Great atmosphere but I loved the sheer skill of Calzaghe-Kessler so will give that the edge.

wow you were at Hatton/Tszyu? It was amazing watching it on Showtime, it was the first time I saw Hatton and it surprised me that it had a playoff atmosphere. One of the most under rated boxing events this decade!

Jeff Fenech beating Victor Callejas for the Featherweight title in the 80's at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. That place had an amazing atmosphere for the big Fenech fights of the late 80's.

Most well known would be Ali-Wepner and probably Dokes-Coetzee.
Way too many great club fights to list the most enjoyable.

In the grandstands about 30 rows back but just above ring level.
Earnie Shavers
Wilfredo Gomez
Trevor Berbick
Greg Page
Mitch "Blood" Green
James "Quick" Tillis
were all on the card that night.

I was too young to be "working" in boxing back when Norris fought Meldrick Taylor. I was an amateur and I made my first drive EVER to Las Vegas to that fight, so I could support Norris, as I knew the Norris family. I do remember two future world champions in the undercard, Jr. Lightweight Eddie Hopson and Heavyweight Corey Sanders.

Being from Iowa suffice to say I don't get to see many big fights live so when Michael Nunn defended against a guy I'd never heard of in Nunn's hometown of Davenport,Ia I went anyway. His opponent was James Toney!Michael Carbajal was on the undercard fighting some nobody.

biggest event i've been to was dlh-mayweather but the best overall card i've been to was probably pacquiao-solis in san antonio. great fights all night. worst overall card was jones-harding in new orleans. jones is my favorite fighter but every fight sucked bad that night, even barrera's. gainer-norwood was the worst fight you could ever see. i still have nightmares.

if i could see one fight live this would be it.
on the hatton-tszyu fight it was electric when ricky's song played there was such an atmosphere. the fight was incredible too and there were a few decent guys on the undercard like williams, maccarinelli etc.
it made it easier to stay awake till 2 am so you americans could watch it at supper time

exactly right mate.
the undercard is so important when the fight is so late on at night. the hatton-tszyu card was decent but the calzaghe-kessler was so bad i almost fell asleep waiting.
there was one guy on the cad though who had perfected the windmill punch style he was hilarious
