Hopefully this fight will take place in the US. Regardless of Bradley's standing in America it will attract far more interest if Witter beats him over there.

There were rumours of a Unification against Torres so hopefully if Junior wins this fight in the US against Bradley that Unification can take place very soon afterwards. Junior is getting old now so 6-7 months betweeen fights I think is a bit too much, indeed he's been even less active than that for years now.

Witter hasn't got his pick of opponents, people are pleased he can at least get a fight.

Hatton is by far the most marketable fighter in the division - everyone wants to fight him.

They are not in the same situation so the double standards are not relevant. Also it's a mandatory defense from Witter, you know, the thing that Hatton has never had to make

Dont give me any of that "nobody wants to fight him" bollocks and only Timothy 'who the fcuk is he' Bradley is the best willing....... Instead of chasing Hatton, he should consider following his lead!

Bradley is the mandatory challenger, something the IBO or the Ring don't seem to have.

This fight is not going to cost us £15 to watch.

You cannot compare this to the Hatton fight.

Witter has simply not been able to get opponents. Gianluca Branco pulled out of a WBC elim in America. That is what it has been like consistently for Witter. That is also why he struggled with Ndou and Kotelnik because he's simply not had the nice gradual learning curve,

However, Jr has beaten Jan Bergman (Tszyu challenger), Kotelnik (debatable), Ndou (struggle, but JW scored knockdowns), Corley, Harris. Even Lynes is an opponent that looks better. Bradley looks like a decent opponent for a guy who can't get anyone to face him.

He's faced about the same # of good fighters as Hatton. When you think Hatton has always had the pick of everything, that reflects badly on Ricky IMO. When Hatton was relatively wasting his career on the WBU, Witter was being ducked despite holding Commonwealth & Euro belts.


It looks like agood night for boxing. Hennessy is putting on a great domestic card and a good fight in America.

How so? Hatton is allowed to do anything he wants, whereas Witter can't exactly force ppl to fight him. Bradley was set to fight an elim, which is how it should be done, but Castillo pulled out.

If boxing wasn't so fvcked up, Witter and Hatton would already have fought - maybe more than once - and both would be better known.

Shit, if Eubank had never faced Benn (or if Benn refused to fight him because "I don't like him") then Eubank would have been little more than a posing oddity for much of his career.

Take Mayweather out of the equation and there's not much difference in the standard of opposition IMO, despite Hatton being able to make any fight HE wants and Junior having to do things the hard way

you need to lay off the drugs, or actually start watching....

If Man Utd played lots of games versus Birmingham, Fulham and Derby with one game against Real in the middle they'd be criticised for not facing Arsenal and Chelsea.

Junior Witter is more like Everton, played lots of PSV's, Villa's and Man City but longing for a chance to play the Man Utd's, Reals and Chelsea's.

Because boxing structure means those appealing match-ups are not mandated as they would be in football.

For the blind, I'm comparing Man Utd with Hatton as the big cash cow.
