'Bum' Lazcano nearly beat Harris, says a lot doesnt it???

Juan Lazcano has been painted as some sort of shitfest by the Witter fan club on here..do they not remember that he took Harris to the brink in the eliminator for Witters title, losing by 1 point on one card and 3 on Two...how can this guy be painted as a bum whilst Harris is painted as a monster which Witter tamed??

So come on, which is it, is Harris overated by the Witter fans or is Lazcano being underated???

The reasoning is Witter destroyed Harris who beat Lazcano and Hatton says Witter isn't a big enough fight for him

Harris was lazy and coasting against Lazcano and was clearly better. BUT that was 15 months prior to this match and Lazcano is now 33 and hasnt fought in 15months. Lazcano also lost to Castillo

Lazcano isnt a bad fight as a warm up but its clear cherry picking.

I've got the Lazcano fight and I still say the judges were a bit too kind to Juan. I had him losing by 5.

And I'm neither in the Hatton club or the Witter club.

Though I disagree that Harris was lazy(I do think he has always struggled with pressure) I agree that Lazcano isnt a monster, but neither is Harris..

Im just getting bored with Harris being painted as some sort of beast and Lazcano being painted as a scrub, just to justify the hate directed at Hatton...I tell you something, if Witter was fighting Lazcano the response would be far less vitriolic

I mentioned in another thread, God knows which one as they all seem to be about Hatton or Witter nowadays, he lost to Maussa by KO. That ain't no monster.

If he weighed 134 at the time of the fight, that's his problem, go fight at Lightweight.

Good thread - there is a but though!!!

Lazcano is a Golden Boy fighter - Hatton is a massive name & a Golden Boy fighter - whether people like it or not Hatton is a MASSIVE name on the world stage and will earn lots of people a lot of money because of his name

We then have the prospect of the so call £50m 2nd fight with PBF -

Call me a cynic - lets just say Lazcano gets on top and Hatton looks like he could be beaten - do you honestly and truly think everything will run its course and nothing whatsoever will be said to Team Lazcano??

Lets say Hatton is cut - Lazcano's only chance is to stop Hatton because of his cut - do you honestly think Lazcano will go for it?

I will leave it there - Hatton wins the fight alright have no fears whatsoever about that - it is the manner in which he wins the fight which concerns me.

With regards to Harris - you have a point - I underestimated him - but there again I did not cream myself like some did over the manner of Witters win - it was ok to good but not outstanding as some stated.

Go back to sleep.

The truth is Lazcano 'might' beat HATTON.

The thing is m he should not be in the ring opposite shitman in the 1st place and now way on PPV!

Hatton chose the path of least resistance....again.

He says he wants to CEMENT HOS LEGACY and look who he has lined up.

PATHETIC!

Plus, Harris won the eliminator SO Witter fought him AND KHTFO.

Harris is overrated he lost to Maussa and Oliveira FFS but that just shows how good Lazcano is doesn't it? As I had Harris beating Lazcano quite comfortably.

i agree with spud, when 2 fighters meet from the same promotional company....its very very rare that the marquee fighter gets beat by the house fighter.

How many Harris fights have you seen? Watch this clip, Harris is a bad ass and better than his losses and the Lazcanno fight would have you believe

Plenty mate, I will resist the temptation to post the Maussa KO!!! lol

Im not saying hes that bad, hes actually very good..saying that Lazcano has looked exclleent before, just shy of winning a world title but an impressive operator..not that much differance IMO, though a peak Harris is just one step ahead

I would say N'dou - Corley - Kotelnik - Harris are ALL decent fighters!

Urango - Lazcano - Collazo are no better.. CASTILLO IS NOT!!!!

KT? old inactive.

PBF mashed him down like a dog.

Witter Witter!!!!

I think the PBF/Hatton ring post incident is much funnier!

Although it can be turned around though.

Lazcano was very lucky to beat Garnacia (very lucky) and he lost heavily to Junior Witter opponent, Tim Bradley... who is not being hyped up as a threat.

Lazcano is acceptable as a title defence is Hatton had beaten Mayweather or was younger... but for a man, approaching the latter stage of his career - and is on about being one of the Greatest of All time brits - then its not the greatest.

Is Lazcano really a bad opponent for a comeback after being KO`ed .. the guy has a 37(KO27)-4-1, and aside from some early blemishes - he has only lost on points twice to world class fighters in the last 10yrs.
Nigel Benn who everybody acknowledges is/was a true warrior came back with a guy 7-9-1 after his 1st KO loss.

Is Lazcano any worse than Witters next opponent? .. a case could be made for Lazcana being a better opponent .. atleast he has fought at world class.

An 8 round fighter taking on a World Champion who at the time was rated as

PERNELL WHITAKER but with a punch

and winning 4 rounds on 1 judges scorecard and lasting 12 is NO WAY FUNNIER THAN

HATTON GETTING THE 'CHECK HOOK' AND HEADBUTTING THE RINGPOST AND THEN FALLING DOWN ONLY TO GET HIT UPSIDE THE HEAD AND THGE COLLAPSE INTO A HEAP WHEN THE REF PULLS PBF AWAY FROM HIM, IS MUCH FUNNIER!

OH HOW I LAUGHED!

NO ONE HAS KNOCKED WITTER OUT.......

As amy Winehouse would say.

You think Hatton he can knock out Junior Witter? I say, no no no!

:D

Hatton went out like a biitch - on his back staring up at the ring lighjts after the countyr spent £20M backing the little pudendum - we ALL knew he was going to get mashed down!

Look at it this way, Hatton wouldn't of stepped into the ring at two weeks notice against Judah a fighter who at that time was tipped for very big things.
