How does Khan do agianst the top lightweights he wants despite being so raw.

I reckon he would beat campbell, david diaz and julio diaz the others i'm not so sure.

David Diaz, Julio Diaz maybe and the rest no Campbell, Casamayor, big no.

To be honest I hope Casamayor gets a really big fight against pac-man or hatton or something. He is 36 now but still top class he has been so good for so many years. He deserves a big pay day. He is still class but against katsidis I think you can see his reflexes are slowing a bit.

I agree i reckon cas would destroy khan. I think katsidis would beat him too.

he he learns to keep his chin tucked in and his guard up them he has a decent chance against any of them

Let's face it. Campbell vacates a belt and Khan is conveniently the mandatory contender or put in an elim.

Khan beats Casa for me. He's nailed on for the HOF, but he got an absolute gift against Santa Cruz and struggled against Katsidis, who is a bit over-rated (in great fights, but not a great fighter). I've got a sneaking feeling that Khan won't be at LW for much more than a year; looks like he's starting to fill his large frame out.

Winning the title isn`t always the hardest part, its keeping hold of it .. once your at that level your expected to face that level of opposition ..I don`t doubt he`ll win some `worlds` title .. my doubts are to who he`ll defend against.. and for how long he`ll keep it

His lack of real `world` class dig and chin are major flaws .. time will tell

I think he could beat all 3 Diaz fighters and possibly Katsidis

Well he is on course to beat them with the progress he has made

Against Bobby Gunn probably.

I would definitely fancy Khan against Katsidis, who is easy to hit.

My thoughts exactly. This will let him down against those listed names, peope who follow his career via ITV and The Sun have never even heard of Joel Casamayor.

i think he's too quick for joel but cas is def the type of guy he needs to be fighting; smart, experienced, non-static, can punch but is well worn and looking to call it a day (though will go into it wanting badly to win)

If they fought now, I could see him winning quite a few of them - he may not have evidence world class dig yet, but I think he has such fast hands that he will land enough good clean shots to get his share of knockouts - he's certainly no smaller a puncher than Casamayor!

I suppose in terms of who I'd put money on him to beat, there are few - Julio Diaz is one, because he swings so wildly that Khan's fast hands would have the proverbial field day. I think Casamayor and Campbell would be even money though - neither has the speed they once did, and again I'm not sure how they would deal with that aspect of Khan's game.

Where I'd be less keen to back him would be against guys like Katsidis who may well KO him when his chin comes up, or against a fit and focussed Juan Diaz, who could handle his pace and draw him into a war...

I have to agree. Maybe Katsidis isnt quite the dogs bollox people thought he was but he certainly is a tough kid who hits damn hard.

I absolutely agree with the first part of your post but its the final part that I question. I think Khans power is improving all the time so I think he does have the dig and its getting better all the time. As for his chin, do you mean hanging it out to dry and not covering up enough? It was a temple shot that Willie Limond caught him with. Will he cut the mustard with the best and hang onto a world title, we will have to see. My guess is he will move up to LWW in a year or two where the opponents are physically a bit bigger in height . However I think he will want to have a LW title first.[/list][/list]

I agree casamayor could easily take khan out he would be right on for a straight left and he has hurt many with it.

khan or khans people are shiteing it from thaxton,and you muppets are on here saying that he would do diaz,casamayor,campbell etc!!!! he hasnt even fought a live lightweight yet. money grabbing manipulative dirty conning shameless bastards and ignorant gullible british public...are words that spring to mind when khan is mentionned.....not world champion.

You say that but you cant take nothing away from khan he can only beat who they put infront of him..

Oh come off it - we both know a comparison of opponents is impossible given Khan's youth; what appears quite obvious to me is that there is a fair amount of snap behind his punches, and certainly enough that he could never be called a non puncher. As for Casamayor - I don't see him as the biggest puncher around, and his stats back that up - you say he has put world class fighters down, but I would argue only two - Corrales and Katsidis - whereas he made little impression on a range of other top class foes.

Let's then analyze the guys he put down - Corrales was chinny as hell at the top level, with double figur of career knock downs, and Katsidis, tough as he is, has all the defence of Derby County after a night on the razz, and had previously been dumped and, for my money, seriously hurt on a couple of other occasions, by Graham Earl and busted up by Czar Amonsot!

I think on balance that my original statement was entirely reasonable!
