Prime Pacquaio vs Prime Hamed, catchweight 128

Your thoughts, gents?
An 8th round KO of an aging Robinson, who was a small-time local champ who never fought outside Britain, is not indicative of being able to KO Manny. I remind you that just a few months earlier, hamed fought Vincenzo Belcastro, a euro-champ and failed to KO him.p4p1 wrote:if he takes it seriosly hamed gives pac man a flogging i watched the steve robinson fight last night with a 21 year old hamed in it that kid was something special if naz takes the fight seriosly he can ko anyone
He treated that Fight as a Joke, and in Turn, Barrera treat him as a Joke in the Ring..harrygreb wrote:are you suggesting he did not take barrera seriously?
shame, really, how they treated Robinson, just to get Hamed the belt.Jaybee From The Castle wrote:An 8th round KO of an aging Robinson, who was a small-time local champ who never fought outside Britain, is not indicative of being able to KO Manny. Wont be able to get Campbell the same now with Khan though, hes higher profile, and can just drop it.
i agree. hamed was very good but the only time he stepped up to an elite fighter, he was beaten. pacquiao's wins are way more impressive. barrera x2, morales x2, and marquez (close).I Feel Fine wrote:Hamed could barely take Kelley's punch. Pacquiao is better in most areas, and he would knock out Hamed or beat him by decision. So would Morales and maybe Marquez.
I actually predicted a Draw for that fight, on the following assumptions:klompton wrote:"so, ive got a fight against marco antonio barrera coming up. its the biggest fight of my career and its in the US where i can really cement my rep as a modern great if i win. now, my preperation. perhaps i shouldnt train hard for it. training's getting too much like hard work. hey!! why dont i treat the whole thing as a joke. that'll really impress everyone. "
Not to mention I just had all my teeth knocked out in a life or death fight with china chinned Augie Sanchez, maybe I should be ready for anything...
Jeeesh.....I guess that prediction covers pretty much all the bases except a KO. Borderline close/wide? WTF?Diamond WEAPON wrote:They'd trade several knockdowns (shit anywhere from 3-6 each sounds about right) (Pacquiao has a lil trouble with southpaws like himself interestingly enough) but Pacquiao would win a borderline close/wide decision based particularly on workrate.
What I meant was in a PTBF sense it would end up with scores like 116-112 twice, and 115-113. Or whatever it would be with all those knockdowns, which I certainly see happening. The margin of victory for Pacquiao would be in the 10-12 point range was what I was trying to say.ringsider wrote:Jeeesh.....I guess that prediction covers pretty much all the bases except a KO. That is an even more confusing explanation.Diamond WEAPON wrote:What I meant was in a PTBF sense it would end up with scores like 116-112 twice, and 115-113.
