Before this post sparks a million and one trolls lets just making a point of writing "knob jockey troll" under any posts considered troll esque..
For all fans travelling out for this fight lets make some plans to meet up for beers and make lots of noise in Atlantic City.
We've booked 6th - 9th June going to Philadelphia and getting the train across to Atlantic City the day before the fight. We're going to start our road trip by running the Rocky steps in Philli just for the crack
To all who are going: post seat numbers and any information anyone has on bars/places to eat/good places/bad places for the enjoyment of all.
We want a good atmosphere for all and plenty of noise!!

Atlantic City is a tip.
There are some bars on the Boardwalk, casino bars and the customary Irish bar about 10-15 minutes walk from the venue.
Don't got far off the Boardwalk as it can be nasty.
The Boardwalk is safe, but not up too much - a poor man's Skegness!!!
Stay in Philly as long as poss or New York and get a coach down or a cab which is about $250.

Having been born and raised there its not that bad. As in any city or town there are its bad spots. Pacific Ave is the main road that the Casinos are on. A block further up is Atlantic Ave. Basically don't go any further past that. There is nothing past it anyway that you would need to go to. Also don't drift down to far towards The Showboat or Resorts casino area. That section is called the Inlet and isn't that great. There are plenty of bars and lounges in the casinos and strip bars along Pacific Ave.

I'd recommend staying in Philly, not Atlantic City if you want to:
visit Frazier's Gym
visit the Blue Horizon
visit Hopkins's gym
visit the Rocky statue
Philly also has the King of Prussia mall (seconds largest in the world) and the accomodation is dirt cheap and NY is only an hour away on the Am Track.
Still undecided whether I'm gonna go. I might wait for Pavlik Abraham in Dec/Jan.

It can be quite rough off the boardwalk and tourists are certainly fair game. When I say "tip" what I am getting at is that it is tacky on the boardwalk, but you are safe there.

As others have said, AC is a cess pool. That said both Philly and NYC are great cities, base yourself there and just head up to AC for the fight itself.
I'll be there and happy to meet up for a pre-fight beer (I'll be with my wife so you'll have to try and be vaguely civilized though....
)

We may be Welsh but I'm sure you'll find us civilised people..
On that note we should (and perhaps will closer to the date) sort out a central point where British fans can congregate or at least have a beer...
