Haven't checked his record, but somehow I'm sure he's just another safe bet being brought in for Khan.

Good line from Hennessey in BN last week, quoting FW from his own website, just before Khan's last fight, saying that he thought St Clair was a better fighter than Kristjansen.

He's right too - St. Clair is a much better opponent. You can't fault Khan's opponents so far - he's been moved along fairly well (although the absence of punchers and bigger men is evident) - but Kristiansen is a poor fight.

I know they're two different ends of the spectrum, experience-wise, but Yuriorkis Gamboa takes on Darling Jiminez in May. It's only Gamboa's 10th fight and Jiminez sparked former WBO LIGHTWEIGHT champ Mike Anchondo in his last. Gamboa's a super-feather who could maybe make feather.

Who's the fella from South America (?), Linares? He's younger than Khan isn't he?

MK is a poor opponent particularly when Romanov and Thaxton were so readily available, and FW touted Romanov.

We know these ppl are shameless, we know what they have to say to keep on the payroll, I'd expect even worst to come out of their mouths and let's not forget, while we are talking about Barry, that he was one of the guys who welcomed the WBU in the great days because guys like Steve Foster could make more money and improve the health of the game at the grassroots.

Ah, fornicate it. Frankly, thats my attidute. This fight is one step forward, and two steps back, but in the scheme of things- so what? Its on ITV, just sit back and enjoy it.

Matthews - Choi will be a belter , so enjoy that too!

What happens with Anthony Peterson in all this? He is ranked no.1 by the WBO. Will he be dropped down to second if Khan wins? and Juan Diaz is number 2 in teh rankings at the moment.

But seriously, this guy isn't the sort of opponent who is going to beat Khan. I'm still waiting for the rugged trialhorse with a bit of dig to come along and upset the applecart with 100/1 rd odds, although obviously it looks like they're more likely to go with as light punchers as they can who are 'rated' on the path to 'the top'.

nevertheless, if this guy can last the distance (and he's done enough of that it's worth literally a couple of quid on later rounds as they'll certainly be at 100/1, like all Khan foes.

He's okay - a fringe European level fighter.

He's a geniune lightweight and IMO as good a lightweight as Khan has fought. And I include Earl and Limond.

Linares is 22, I think. Had 20-odd fights now and looked amazing against Larios.

No - but I have seen Kristjansen fight on numerous occasions.

I don't get how this can be a title eliminator Khan is ranked no.4 and Kristjansen is ranked no.2

What about Peterson the No.1 ranked and Casamyor the intermin champion?

To be fair, it's very easy to win a 6 rounder by split decision. Doesn't mean a lot.

It means that he had his hands full with a guy who's lost more than hes won. I don't know what possible spin you can put on it.

i have a few points about khan

Firstly he offer to leaveFW and go with someone who will put him in with hardened fighters who can bang a bit. He got knocked down by limond yet still dont tuck his chin in

I am a big fan of khan and believe he has good skills but when he fights a world class or decent lightweight who can punch he could be in trouble

I think he will finish the dane in 5 although i would like it to go distance as i have tickets
