Yeah, it was a scandal. Estaba, at least, went on to prove himself a fabulous little champ.

turns out that lovera had a record of 20-1-1 according to the wbc when he got this shot...
according to this article his promoter was a bit of a cowboy and "fiddled" stuff now and again - on this occasion, his fighters "true" record

Lovera was a scandal (a gift of the WBC, like WBA, IBF or WBO)
On August 22, 1957, Olympic Champion Pete Rademacher, in his pro debut, was KO'ed by Floyd Patterson, 6, in Seattle, for the World Heavyweight Title

Martin, from the way you have written it that, it looks as if you are saying Floyd Patterson,
aged 6, for the title..... get the IHOF on the phone, they need to open a new category.....

Hi, Matthews!
Your excelent humor make me happy and with a sonorous laugh! You are right, thanks! I remember the results in old issues of
The Ring Magazine, as this:
"Floyd Patterson kayoed Pete Rademacher, 6" In the boxing very old times, it could be
"Johnny Smith stopped Smith Johnson, 99"; this Johnson, was an old man aged 99?
Thanks again, Matt!
