This was the first Superstars event by VIP and proved a great success with everyone enjoying themselves and having a good laugh – non more so than when trainer Bobby Rimmer put all into the trainer /veteran sprint and fell over!!! . Incidentally this was won by promoter STEVE WOOD leaving all in their boots with an unbelievable time of 10.7 seconds. All who competed have vowed to come back next year and do better – especially Jamie Moore !!!! :TU:

Where did Wood come?

If his time was 10.7, was it a 60 yard rather than 100 yard dash:-)

MOORESY - Bit harsh there pal !!
REAL DEAL - First mate , read the report
D PAYNE - Actually 90 metres as we read the finish line wrong - time
is unbelievable.

Also noticed Alex Mattvienko has gone missing on this subject , for his mate ' sweetscience' he only got 1 point more than Jamie . Was told in archery practise he was like a combination of Robin Hood and Rambo , but in the actual contest he could not hit a barn door.

STEVE WOOD

Sounds like a lot of fun either way. 10.7 for 90 metres aint bad either.

I always remember CLoughie reporting Franz Carr could do 100metres in his boots and a tracksuit in 10.7 - so you're in good company.

Could you cross a ball at the end....Carr never could.

Funny choice of worknig there RD, keeps making me chuckle.

Sounds like Jamie wasn't at the races. Steve seems a nimble of foot and mind character and looks like it was proven on the day.

Look forward to seeing it on Channel M at some point!
With everyone wearing enormous taches. And someone doing a Keegan on the bike race.

Was going to ask how the bike race went. Alex Matvienko has a huge 'tache, Mexican Bandito style.
Who was the tricep dip legend that's record was never beaten?

Do you mean Brian Jacks?

I'm old enough to remember the original Superstars but not old enough to remember any details. I remember the judo guy with the golden curls though.
