I was flicking through the channels a few weeks ago, and there was boxing on CH4, CH5, CH4+1, Setanta, ftn, ITV4, Bravo (Eubank-Ray Close), Five US and Nuts TV all in the space of about an hour. 2008 is interesting.

Point taken - but surely "live" boxing is what we want?

I was flicking through the channels the other day and I saw a repeat of Desperate Housewives.

I hope Setanta still have quality control over Sport Networks product. I think this is the reason why SN have put on good fights in the last 12 months - to get a new contract, lets hope Setanta make them keep it up. lets also hope 'exclusive' doesn't mean they only show SN fights

I remember me, Eubank and Steve Bunce (of The Evening Standard) sharing a cab and a kebab from the Peckham Market, back in the 80s. I remember sitting next to Ayling at the infamous Eubank-Greg George fight (Jim Mac, Duke Mac and Mike Watson also on that card) and commenting on what a skinny runt Bunce was back then. I remember seeing big Joe (he was little Joe, then) as a 14-year-old amateur scrub, when I was standing with Mick "Parsnips" O'Reilly (one of the finest amateur boxers from out of the spud-picking factories of East Belfast). I remember Eubank, through myself, Ayling and Darkie Smith, signing with Matchroom. I remember, and so will Ayling, 200 tickets struggling to be sold for Benn-Logan at the Albert Hall, until a press conference bust-up ignited the interest.

I also remember spitting in Ayling's face when he jumped ship.

Warren needs deals to be exclusive so that he can continue to con the public with his parallel universe boxing divisions.

As a co-worker said to me today: 'eh?? how can that danish fella be crap thought-- he was world ranked!!'

To us Boxing fans, Setanta is like the second-coming of Jesus! Ok, maybe that's a bit strong, but you get my drfit!

Absolutely magical by Warren. Frank may not be to everybody's liking, but there cannot be any qualms about his shows, & the deals he does to get boxing shown on television.

Great news. Let's hope it's one of many contracts Warren agrees with Setanta.

Lol, I got the same when i talked to my mate (a fringe fan at best). I was saying "ITV obviously bigged up the Dane to make it look like Khan is developing"

And he replied, "Noooo, mate, that guy was a good fighter. He gave Amir Khan problems and lasted 7 rounds!"

I got quite frustrated

I had a few similar conversations over the weekend.

Lets just hope that Warren doesn't revert to type and serve us up a long line of mismatches now that he's nailed down an exclusive contract/ Franks been excellent lately lets hope it continues

Warren will always have a tv contract, i just hope setanta make the presence felt, they need to start demanding fights be made, similar to

I've discovered over time that joe public will listen to what MR TV says rather than the huge boxing fan at the side of them, shame there so easily fooled.

Alzheimers is a terrible condition. Eubank V Greg George was at Wembley (first time he went over) and was not a Matchroom show. Benn V Logan was not a Matchroom show either but a Maloney/Mendy show. The Eubank show that only sold 200 tickets was in Liverpool and Ayling had nothing whatsoever to do with Eubank signing with Matchroom nor did he jump ship either so as for spitting in his face?

In fact, the only thing you got right was Buncey was a skinny runt back then and he did marry a Jackie.

I was hoping for abit more than that but due to my powers of deduction it must be Sky or ITV!

Who's Amir going to then??? The way Spuds bringing the subject up leads me to think FA are eyeing him up, but Meaty Mick has got his foot in the door at ITV, so maybe it's them. Soooooo many questions, soooooo few answers :(

Will the BBC make another dabble into boxing?

But I have to say the Amir Khan questions have me more intrigued than any other - I do hope Sportsnetwork clear things up for us all very soon!! - or will Team Khan clarify their position?

And for the record and without any saracsim I actually think Mr W arren has done a bloody excellent job on Khan - that is one of the first times I have stated that - with Calzaghe I do not believe it was all W arrens fault either - however I do believe Ricky Hatton could have been matched a lot better.
