Yes he can!

Clinton is a good technical fighter, good work rate for a big man and decent power and good chin.

He has to be careful early on - maybe just box from the outside for a few rounds and then gradually step it up.

Tarver does not have stamina anymore, but the talking egg can punch.

Clinton can get a late stoppage or UD.

Nope.

Seeing the press conference shows you that Tarver is just an all-around more elite chap. I saw a lack of confidence drool over Clinton's features after Tarver got up and started mouthing off.

I saw it on the Soccer Night programme on ITV1 Yorkshire, too. Clinton's face, after looking back at the press conference on a clip. He was on there with Hobson.

I doubt it. I think Tarver will beat Woods.

Depends how much of the bluster about weight making before his last defeat is to be believed.

This a is a guy who has feasted on shop worn fighters at just the right time after slow burn career - then been found out as a mediocre operator in subsequent fights.

Dunno, can't make me mind up about him.

Woods is Everton.

Tarver is either Chelsea or Bolton. I can't work it out for certain which.

Just listened to Clinton on Talksport. He sounds very confident. Said his camp had been going well and that he was training at night time to get his body clock adjusted. He also mentioned that an old trainer of tarver's has been helping him prepare and giving him some good insights into Tarver's style.

Think he can win it late.

Will the referee and judges be fair to Woods? The fight is taking place in Tarver's home state of Florida.

Plus, Tarver's not looked good at all for three years while Clintons last two fights have been his best ever.
Not sure I agree there... Clinton beat Gonzalez far more emphatically in their first fight.

Johnson fight... maybe, but still I think the "improvement" Woods has made since being a champion is a tad exagerated - given that he still had a life and death close struggle with an aging Johnson.

Ant Evans wrote:You could be right on the Johnson score, guess we will find out how much Glen has left v Dawson. Glen is one of the nicest guys I've ever met in boxing, plus thanks to him I got to hang out with Steven Segal after Glen KO'd Jones in Memphis!!!! (C'mon! Segal!!!)

But as for Julio Gonzalez fight, Julio was in the hotel steamroom for three hours on the day of the weigh-in for the first fight and that's why he wasn't "there" for that fight and why Clinton had to work harder for the second win.
Did Seagal have his guitar? Did he break out into song? What accent was he using?

Any idea when the fight's due to start on Saturday? Is Woods on before the Road Warrior?

Woods is going to smack 7 bells out of this mouthy twat!

As a 'genius' in boxpicks I've put my cash on big Clint!

One of Clint's stable mates died after being run over by a taxi about a week ago, so no doubt this will give him another reason to want to win the fight.

Good call, David, re Tarver. Whichever you choose, you hate them, but for different reasons.

Clinton looked embarrassed, not scared, as far as I'm concerned. He doesn't go in for all this American bullsh*t. I hope he smashes Tarver to bits.

Yeah me too, you can't help but dislike Tarver, who's clearly in love with himself - he probably screams out his own name in the throws of passion.

I really hope Clint does it, but it looks a tough one on away ground.

I saw the Johnson fight last night I had it even, but, I had a round I scored even, but I gave it to Woods before the end of the fight. So I really had Johnson winning. If Johnson can get him in trouble like he did in the 9th, I'd say Tarver as a sweet chance of getting a TKO. I think Tarver being a SP will slow his work rate and he'll be open for that straight left all night.

I'm locked in for a unit on Tarver. Sorry fella's. :-?
