We all know Johnson on here, the "Road Warrior" who gave numerous good performances on these shores (vs Toks Owoh, and Clinton Woods three times in their 1-1-1 series). He's challenging WBC light heavy champ Chad Dawson on the light heavyweight show headlined by Woods-Tarver.

Dawson is 25 and a talented southpaw. He beat Eric Harding to get his title shot and then dethroned Tomasz Adamek to win the WBC title. In that bout Chad had to get up to win, but dominated mostly with his southpaw skills. Some doubts about his chin, as light hitting Harding had him down as well.

Dawson is a big talent but does do some things wrong. He squares up his shoulders when he throws his southpaw straight left. He's a natural right hander so he makes mistakes throwing his left, his rear hand. Johnson may have to knock him out with rights - when Dawson is open.

Johnson is 39 but is as tough, plucky and persistent as they come. He can't compete with Chad's speed, but maybe he can use his experience to take advantage of an opening...Glen has fought numerous southpaws, including Tarver twice (winning 1st, losing 2nd), Syd Vanderpool, Hugo Pineda, George Khalid Jones, Eric Harding, Derrick Harmon: he hasn't always got it right but he's definitely had the practise!

OK it's a huge ask, but can he do it and maybe put himself in the running for a big fight with the Calzaghe-Hopkins winner?

I imagine Dawson will win this one on points to be honest. Too quick and slick for the ageing warrior although it will always be interesting as i am not sure Dawson has the soundest beard in the sport.

The winner to take on the Tarver-Woods victor with the other boys (i.e. Calzaghe and Hopkins) going off in another direction. Pavlik, Taylor or something like that.

No chance Dawson is a class act and like Johnsons nickname suggests deep down hes journeyman level (albeit a high level 1). Floyd Sr had a few choice words to say about Dawson but that was after they parted ways

Interesting point you bring up. Dawson is chopping and changing trainers. Now he's with Eddie Mustapha Muhammad, the former light heavyweight champ. Will this lack of "consistency" behind the scenes leave Dawson open to the wrong punch?

It does seem like Glen is too old but he won't be weight drained like Adamek was. I won't write him off because upsets are happening and older fighters are doing well. But it does seem an unlikely story, him winning.

Not hugely impressed with Dawson. It's a close one to call. The younger guy may have enough to take it I suppose.

Never write johnson off he just keeps coming forward throwing punches that style can break a fighters heart, never seen dawson fight thou so cant really judge this one should be entertaining by the sounds of it

Dawson hasn't really been in a scrap, though, has he? If Glenn takes this to the trenches, he has a chance. That said, I see Chad winning on points by boxing at distance.

I've not seen Dawson box, but Johnson never gives anyone an easy night, I do like Johnson he's faced the best , and on the road. But if he wins will we get Johnson v Woods IV?

If Dawson's that good he should beat Johnson easily, the way he fought Woods In the 3rd fight all he was, was just come forward trying to throw heavy shots.

I love Glengoffe, but having picked out Dawson a while back as a special prospect I'll stick with him.

dawson will keep it long and outbox glen fairly easily.

dawson can be hurt but he has dug in when hurt before like against adamek.

Johnson will have to do damage early, because he runs out of steam himself now in the last few rds with the torrid pace he sets. That being said, Dawson has a shaky chin & Johnson can hit a bit, to me this wouldn't even be an upset if the rugged old Road Warrior won.

He beat Clinton Woods 3 times IMO.

Seriously though I don't think they're bothered about each other. Glen just wants the best money fights. If both are successful on Sat's brilliant card. I wouldn't be surprised if both tried to get Calzaghe.

If Dawson wins well, then Calzaghe better fight him.

Glen is getting on, but no-one has beating him well yet.

Did anyone think Clinton won the third fight? I only saw it live, and thought Glenn won on the night, but Dirk bought the DVD and insists Cliton was the winner.

Going by TV i had Clinton a winner, but not by much. thought it was a great fight .

I had Clinton winning the 3rd. I thought it was a great fight. Very close. It was very different from the other two fights because Clinton got his body weight moving forward into hard shots. As opposed to countering relatively meekly off the ropes as per the first 2 bouts. Like part 1, Johnson had a bad finish.

Brits are split on the 3rd fight. Boxing News had Johnson winning but in some of the early rds I preferred Clint's workrate and neat boxing to Glen's hard single grunting right hands.

Just youtubed a few of Dawson's fights, he's talented alright, and should have too much for ol man Johnson.

Glen's best chance is to land his big right hand over the top, as Chad sometimes looks like he leaves his chin up in the air when he tires a bit.

But he came back well from the Adamek knockdown, legs looked ok and he landed a few bombs to keep the dangerous Pole off him.

Looks a very difficult fighter to beat.
