Back in the '30s a light heavyweight in Britiain was called a cruiserweight, but what was the weight limit? I've seen guys who normally fought around 180-185 during this period in Britain referred to as cruiserweights.

I think Light-heavy and cruiser were somewhat interchangeable terms then but reffered to the 175lbs division, and I think that contemporary references are probably just misplaced, or attempts to make clear that these were small heavyweights that would today be cruisers.
