why not have one "official" thread where people can discuss things like the Calzaghe fight?

Its kind of annoying at the moment, because there are about 20 threads all saying much he same thing- I don't know which thread to respond in. Its easier to read through the posts in one long thread, too.

Answer- Because they are all generally useless, They all seem the same and all of a sudden there is an enormous number floating around!

Seriously though- why not have one "official" thread where people can discuss this?

Its kind of annoying, because I don't know which thread to respond in.

Also, no disrespect to the Polish, it was just a joke.
That's life on forums like this I'm afraid: hot topic, ie a big fight & everybody wants their own say.

BBC do a boxing forum where the moderators decide what topics to put up & you respond accordingly, but personally I think that is a bit boring & dictatorial.

I prefer it like this personally.

Some forums have a useful "middle ground" though, where major events are given an "official" topic, where people discuss the fight in the same thread- its useful because then everything (thoughts, links etc) is in the same place.
