From recollection I scored it by a point or so for Mercer. Some very close rounds, but I think Witherspoon let the fight slip away in the 2nd half of the fight. Great toe to toe brawl, I actually think it's a better fight than the highly over-rated Tua-Ibeabuchi.

I think this is a much better fight than Tua-Ike.
1990s had a heap of exciting HW bouts that seem to be
over looked.

I had 'Spoon by a point or 2 I think

6-4 or 7-3 Spoon. Bad decision, if not quite a robbery.

Hard to score it. Say it was about even, or I'd just give the nod to TW.

If I recall, that, "man" was you, Collie --- & calling me, "a bore" would be a whole lot more convincing if you hadn't found me so intriguing as to repeatedly challenge me to an arranged street fight. Seems I piqued your interest, after all

Difficult fight to score. Personally I would score it either even or Mercer 6:4, but if someone sees Witherspoon here I have no problems as some rounds were really close.

I am surprised at the scoring thought. One judge had it 97:91, and I wonder how it could be possible with no penalties and knockdowns.

I'v never watched this fight I remember it was TW last real run at a big payday and he was in great shape but he probably got serious way toooo
