If you had to pick some fights from history for a new fan to the sport to watch, what fights would you suggest to him/her/Max?

I'll start with a few of the obvious ones

Rumble in the Jungle Ali-Foreman
Ward-Gatti 1 and 3 (and 2 :D )
Barrera-Morales I
Corrales-Castillo I
Hagler-Hearns
....

Both are on their way to me as I type.

August is one of my fave fighters ever. He was robbed in that one.

Chambers I am a he and two only slick counter puncher like boxers.

Tis why guys like Napa and Witter are my favorites, they are slick and counter punchers. I don't want to watch fighters who get brain damage for the fans like Gatti.

I do have Benn Vs McClellan and Hagler Vs Hearns and Hearns Vs Duran.

If you're a fan of slick boxers I can see why you haven't bothered with Ali

ESB people compared Mijares Vs Arce to Calzaghe Vs Lacy.

I was ashamed to miss one of Mijares's fights when Setanta showed It on the Taylor Pavlik 2 show I think. I didn't know It was on or I would of stayed up.

Max. you like slickness, yes? Counterpunching?

Try:-

Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez

Ricardo Lopez vs Rosendo Alvarez II (the rematch, not the first one)

Roberto DurĂ¡n vs Esteban DeJesus III (don't let RD's rep as a killer fool ya; he could box when he wanted to...)

Pernell Whitaker vs Buddy McGirt I ('93)

Enjoy, dude.

Steve Molitor is poetry in motion, Steve Luevano,

Juan Manuel Marquez - Pacman I (and II if you missed it the other week)
The recent version of Joan Guzman is the ultimate slickster IMO and reminds me abit of Joe Calzaghe.
Sergio Gabriel Martinez VS Richard Williams I and II

Joe Casamayor, PBF, Corey Spinks, Bute

I'd class Guzman as the seconds coming. Get his fight against Soto, his performance so far.

JMM is technically sound, fluid and gutsy. He's slugged more as he's aged but he's been a crafty, rounded technician for near ona decade.

Winky Wright another.

I alway slike watching the more unorthodox, MacMillan, Laing, Graham, Hamed etc.
