Oscar has stated he wants the Boricua in December, irrespective of the Mayweather II outcome.

I feel he will lose both of these fights.

Don't you think it's weird that ODLH will retire will 7 losses on his record? Yet he is still the biggest draw in the sport...I think he is a good example of a fighter that can fight the best, but still be a megastar.

I have a lot of respect for him.

If he loses one, he's not going to get the other. So, the most he's going to end up with is six losses.

He hasn't lost the sixth yet!

Cotto would dismantle Oscar in 7-10 .. Oscar runs out of steam and Cotto would beast him terrible .. brave match-up for Oscar...

sadly we Brits never get these Super Fights since they don't like Risks

Joe waited forever to what could have been the best fights in the history of the Sport. (hinting at fighting RJJ and Hopkins earlier).

Hatton, although he waited a long time, kudos for fighting mayweather. shame we cant have a British Big fight with Witter

No...they're CLEARLY setting up a MASSIVE Cotto-Maweather fight. I've never seen anything more obvious lol.

DLH may have 5 losses but look at the names on there. Now compare that to Calzaghe's record - undefeated but nowhere near the amount of top notch names DLH has.

Yes, and 3 of these were controvesial. the other was close, and the other was out of his weight category (and I thought he came out of the Hopkins fight with alot of credit, more so than Joe).

Although on the flip side DLH got awarded the 3 close decisions also.

Cotto vs DLH... tough one to call, would like to see how much DLH has left and Mayweather will show this. I don't like how Mayorga and Mayweather temporarily hurt him in recent times. But I like a near prime DLH to KO Cotto after 8 or so rounds - to quick, hits to hard I think.

But yes, if DLH hasn't dented Cotto by the end of 6 - then its Cotto's fight.

a prime de la hoya wouldnt have beat cotto at welterweight and cotto would destroy him now.even tho dela hoyas has quick hands cotto would cancel that out with great timing of his punches like he did with mosley who is alot quicker than de la hoya.cotto is the man at 147

What a massive, massive, MASSIVE fight that could be.

Would be an immense occasion.

I think you're underestimating just how good De La Hoya was at 147, at least in his prime. Cotto may have the edge now, but Oscar was once much more than a 'celebrity fighter', which is how he appears now.

Prime for prime, I'd pick Oscar.

mmm... I agree, that while 147 was his best weight, 154 is where he had the most success.

I think Oscar showed skills and speed in the Mayweather fight that people forgot he had. Everyone thought if DLH was going to win that fight it would be because of his natural size advatange and strength - not cause of his handspeed and skills... that was wrong. And I asked people after NOW who do you think you win a prime vs prime DLH vs Mayweather battle, and people had changed their mind from before the fight (kind of like Calzaghe vs Hopkins).

I just don't know how Cotto could have beaten DLH in his prime, he is strong but slow, defensively poor and not made of iron. If Dynamite punchers like Trinidad couldn't make a dent - then I think Cotto will struggle. I just think DLH would be beating him to the punch time and time again.

Really? I have to say, I thought at the time, and so did many others, that Oscar could have beaten the count in the Hopkins fight, but that he saw a decent opportunity to get out relatively unscathed against a guy who was just too big and strong for him.

Oscar in his prime, beats both Floyd and Cotto at 147.
