I'm not too well advised on the amateur codes but after the jubilation of all the fighters qualifying recently it seems to have gone all quiet. Is that it over? Or are there further opportunities for boxer's to still qualify for Beijing?

And incidently who are the lucky British/Irish reps thus far. Thanks lads

Stephen Smith has been one verdict away from qualification, three times and lost each one.

Poor sod.

What is everyone's thoughts on our chances at the Olympics? I've lost touch with the Ams lately.

Also, apart from Frankie G, who should I look out for when I'm there?

Gareth you would probably know, which AMA clubs do the Irish boys box for? I know Barnes is Holy Family and Nevin is Cavan (?). But the others....

As always, it all depends on the draw, but I would plump for Gavin, Billy Joe and David Price to have the best chance of medalling out of all the 13.

Gavin is World Champ, Billy Joe Saunders is a quality little fighter and Pricey has the size tools and experience to do the business at Super Heavy. The fact he has taken a while to qualify has helped him too. Had more fights against hungry, international fighters and will come into the Games, in his own words, battle hardened!

The Irish hopes lay with Sutherland and Egan, but both will have their work cut out.
