Just wondered what bargains you guys have picked up over the years??
I still think the best I've managed to find was walkgin past an old book second hand book shop and finding a copy of The Ring Magazine, Chronicle of Boxing (1900 - 1992) for £2 in the window.... needless to say I snapped it up...
Was just having a glance through it now, and it really is a great book.
Another one, not quite as interesting but a good find, there was an old printers in the space below the offices of my old employer in London, and one day while down there found a load of mint condition programmes for Tyson - Bruno 1 (feb 89).... only got my one left now, in fact, think I sent a few out to some posters on the old secondsout forum years back....

I have seen the peice of boxing memorabilia that I want and whilst it is a little on the pricey side, it would be nice if a few of you boxrec members would gang together and secure this item for me; think of it as an early Christmas present:

Dont let this once in a lifetime offer slip between your fingers..

A signed Corrales photo for £25 (now worth £100).
I came within a fanny hair of buying Joe Louis's left fight glove from when he fought Marciano (with a signed message "I fought my best but it's over Joe Louis") for £400.

Damn it. The bid's ended. I'll try next time.
Mayweather's gumshield has sold for £4k before, so I'd hazard a guess you could £50k for it.

If that is authentic then surely it would have been the bargain of the century. Looking back do you not regret missing out?
£400 quid for a Joe Louis fight glove or $4m for PBF's leather ring regalia: I know which I would rather have.
