Sorry lads:

In a thorougly insular way, I was looking forward to this more than either of the two 'main events'.

Beginning to think this weekend is jinxed! Please tell me that Notthingham still has a ratio of 3 birds to every bloke?

Damn, this bill is not having too much luck.

Gutted.

Although, have to say if this was a SN bill - we would be more than saying "this bill is jinxed".

Well all I can say is that I know this to be totally genuine.
Fewky was ready, no doubt, and for some time I had been championing his cause to win this against the odds.
It's right however, to say that if this show was a SN show, the consiparacy theorists would be having a field day.
Sorry to say it, but this event just ain't worth the money anymore.

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I thought this was the best match on the bill - was really looking forward to it.

Just think, 'fireball' would have got coverage on Showtime as well.

Gutted for the lad, the promoter, Murray, and all concerned.

Hennessy put together an excellent 3 fight card and bit by bit it has fallen apart at the seams..

Know what you mean Stu but I genuinely think this is bad luck. And Hennessy has hardly got the same history now, has he?

No, thats a myth I am afraid.

Also, it has a terrible reputation for violence and gun crime in recent years so watch yer back.. :o :-?

Bad news all round eh?

No doubting that... but I am sure the vast majority of the SN have been geniune bad luck also.

When will this fight happen again?

Bad news - very bad news.

Boxing is a rough business - This has not been a good show for Meaty Mick Hennessy - having such a show on Terrestrial TV would have been good news for him and I feel it has now been severly weakened.

I hope Froch and Witter do well - I honestly believe it is very important for boxing to remain on terrestrial TV - Hennessy along with Fight Academy and others if they come along need to persuade the TV executives that boxing still has its part to play.

Does anyone know who Murray has got now?

gutted that the fight is off as it was clearly going to be a cracker. But even more gutted for Fewkes and Murray who will be as low as you can get right now.

Shocking luck for all concerned

Damn I was looking forward to this fight like Ian more than any other on the bill. Gotta feel for Hennesy as well. And if I didn't mention DAAAYMN.
ps

Gastroenteritis means Fewkes probably has the shits. Poor sod.

Sorry mate its down to two, but its still a heck of a place to get your head kicked in, or shot. The St. Anns Estate is the place to live dangerously, friggin nutters live there. Sod Nottingham!!!

This years boxing is just falling apart!!! Poor old Mick, his chance to shine and look what happens. 2008 could have topped 2007 but its off to a shocking start. Lets hope Junior pulls off a spectacular win.

Well, shame- but the card still has Adnan Amar V Mark Lloyd, no doubt that will be the third choice (IE after the 2 main events) for the tV schedule.

Whats the TV showing? Just the Main event on ITV , or some extended early coverage on ITV4 or whereever.

I can't believe this. So, can anyone vouch for Fewkes because another pullout vs a Hennessy fighter seems dodgy?

Yeah, just wanted to make sure. One person above said he looked bad but you don't always know who ppl are.

Murray-Fewkes should have been put on the Romanov-Thaxton undercard. Both lads were ready for it after the March 29 show was delayed.

Well, that's boxing!

Looks like it down to Witter to do the biz now.
