So the supposed supporting undercard for Guzman v Arthur is now a main event in it's own right. Does this mean Guzman v Arthur is now not happening? With SN committed to doing fights for the whole of June, it looks like the earliest time will be July for Arthur v Guzman. Or is that fight simply never going to happen?

Kevin McIntyre v Kell Brook for the British title is a good fight though. I fancy Kell to win this one! Anthony Small meets George Katsimpas on the undercard in a defence of his Southern area title.

All three Walsh brother will also be appearing on the bill.

Does anyone know anything about George Katsimpkas? He has beaten Renda and Gilbert Eastman depsite being a relative novice with only 7 fights - is he any good? Has he any chance against Small? Brook vs McIntyre sounds like a good fight - never seen Brook fight though so can't really comment on his chances though just looking at their respective records you'd have to make Mcintyre a solid favourite. Re; Arthur-Guzman - boxrec have it down as on June 14th but I guess thats definitely not the case then.

I like Brook as a fighter (although of course not as much as Emma). Decent dig - his right to the body looks nice, although he may eat a cross if he's not careful. Time for him to step up.

This is a cracking fight, and I can't wait for it.
Brook will make the doubters stand up and take notice.

Looking forward to this one. Kel is a cracking fighter -needs to fight more regularly, and then he can go on to some big things, am quite sure of that. I used to spar with him quite a bit. I was crap, but quite a few stone heavier than him, and he always used to hurt me to the body.Very heavy handed and accurate.Lovely guy as well.Looks like a good show with a good undercard.

He's in cracking shape mate, and has had some excellent sparring in Europe in the last few weeks.
The feedback has been top notch.
I expect him to put on a great performance, and bring the belt home.

Anyone notice Kell hasnt fought anyone good yet? His record is full of bums. Tough fight but think Kell will lose.

To that, I would say that several good fighters have pulled out of fights with Kel, and one can't do much about that. His class will tell.Trust me.

Saw George Katsimpas make his debut in Southampton and he looked very good, he comes from a martial arts background and he's been matched tough. A TKO over Renda looks impressive now.

Be a tough night for Small and it all depends on if Small tires as I think George could do him.

Also George wears a mask into the ring so it will be a competition to which one between him and Small looks more ridiculous

I may be up for it, but I'm covering Oakey Francis the night before so I'll see. Might be all boxed out.

The kid can only fight who's prepared to stand in front of him.
Why do you think he's got this British Title fight so quickly ?
Because the board recognise that the kid's been shafted time after time in potential eliminator fights with the opposition crying off.
I would also add that it's cost serious dough, purse wise, to even get the so called mediocre (not my words) in the ring with him.

Once-beaten Londoner Anthony Small defends his Southern Area light-middleweight title against once-beaten George "Cross" Katsimpas of Weston-Super-Mare.
Katsimpas looks desperately inexperienced after just seven outings as a pro but is a former kickboxing star with confidence and heavy hands, given five of his six wins have come by stoppage, and he has shown he can box a bit too in recent fights. The loss on his resume came to Lancashire's Prince Arron on an eight-round decision at York Hall in February last year. That's ominous, since Arron was thumped in two rounds by Small just four months earlier at Elephant & Castle Leisure Centre.
Since the Arron loss, Katsimpas wore down and stopped Poland's previously unbeaten Lukasz Wawrzyczek in nine rounds and scored a good six-round decision over Battersea's experienced Gilbert Eastman last time out in February in Crawley for his only distance win. He can certainly whack: he stopped Peterborough's Cello Renda in two rounds back in 2006 and also took out Birmingham's usually durable Tony Rendall in one in the same year. He does a lot of work with British light-heavyweight champion Tony Oakey at the TKO Gym.
The Arron comparison, however, comes home to roost. Small gave a dazzling display last time out in January at York Hall against Margate's experienced Takaloo, whom he picked apart and stopped in sevento win the Southern Area title, and in 19 fights, has lost only to Welsh sensation Bradley Pryce in a challenge for the Commonwealth light-middleweight title, a loss he seems to have learned from. The quick, sharp, flashy, accurate Small still has question marks hanging over his chin and stamina (Pryce stopped him in seven while American Walter Wright rocked him badly in the eighth and last round last year, before Small got the verdict) but still looks too seasoned - and just too talented - for the ticket-selling challenger.
Expect Small to jump on his man and finish it inside four or five rounds.
