What an absolute belter of a bout this was!

Thought you guys might like to relive this enthralling bout. They certainly don't make fighters like these two anymore!

From the seventh round onwards, Chacon's corner say they will give Bobby just one more round. Chacon's face shows just what kind of fighter he was - one with a tremendous amount of bottle!

Boza Edwards seemed to find the range as early as the first round, seemed to settle down more quickly than Chacon did. Boza's legs didn't seem to be strong enough at times, particularly in the final round. In the 12th, Boza's was fighting on pure instinct, nothing else. Boza's punches had nothing on them in the last round - such was his exhaustion.

They broke the mould when they made these guys!

Yeah I agree amazing fight!.... Bobby just refused to be beaten that night.... if you get the chance try and catch their first bout... that was a classic too... neither man was ever in a bad fight.... the type of warriors that aside from the wards and Gatti's we just dont see anymore....

I'm glad that you guys brought this up. I never understood why it seldom gets talked about. That was a great fight. I remember watching this on TV. It was a war. The knockdowns in the first two rounds were crucial. Otherwise the decision would have gone the other way. Both of these guys really put forth a great effort.

Awesome, awesome fight! One of the best ever of that era.

I actually had Boza up by a point at the end, despite the KDs, but it wasn't a call from the judges that one could really argue with.
