I was just looking at the schedules and it seems that there is some boxing going on Saturday at the historical St Davids Hall, in Cardiff. Matthew Edmunds is headlining.

I thought WOW - that will be some place to hold boxing. Those who have not had the priveledge in going there, then I recommend - its such an inspiring place. In my younger days I had the pleasure in singing there - it was an experience I will never forget.

I really cannot remember any boxing ever being held in this venue before - I tried to do a search on BBN, but it would appear the site is down. Any big title fights ever taken place at the Hall?

St David's Hall was the venue for David Pearce's British title fight with Neville Meade in 1983.

Was Pearce vs Meade televised?

Excellent venue, should create a fantastic atmosphere.

Anyone know if there is a dress code for the fights? Suit and tie job? Thinking of going now.

Not as far as I'm aware. I've had a look at my ticket, doesn't say anything on there either. I bought my ticket of one of the boxers and he didn't say anything.
