Why doesn't it mention that he is afraid to fight Kessler?

The story below it says:
""The Man" is now expected to give up the belt, rather than face mandatory challenger and former conqueror Mikkel Kessler."
Hahahahahaha.

So here's a question: does him move down and target Sturm or move up and take on Garay for the vacant WBA title?

He wont fight Garay... Mundine doesnt like fighting people bigger then he is. He cant handle the pressure.
My prediction... Mundine only has a few years left and wants to create a legacy. He will fight for a middlewieght title (most likely Sturm). Defend that a few times and then possibly go to lightheavy and fight for a title there... Most likely whoever owns the WBA, as that body seems to give Mundine alot of opportunities.

I reckon he will target sturm. Wright, Pavlik and Taylor won't be interested. I think Mark is correct, try for a title and then defend a couple of times (probably against scrubs) and then see where he goes from there. I don't think he has a chance of making an impact at LH though. He's too small.

This dude just shits me off more and more and more as time goes on.
Stop being a pussy Anthony. You've fought, what five good opponents (Echolls, Green, Kessler, Siaca, Ottke) over the course of your career, got a 2-3 record against them and now want to compile another 10-0 fighting guys that have a combined record of 32-419? And then talk about how good you are?
Don't go for Sturm, that's an easy way out - fight Kessler. Be a man.
(BTW I rambled the bulk of this post off the top of my head, apologies if I got something wrong)

I feel your frustrustions also, Especially after he beat Green then stopped Soliman he could have really stepped up and tried to get some big fights. The guy has talent but just dosnt like testing it and the silly thing is if he did really put his mind to it he could do well in the US or Europe.

Every time it looks like he's starting to emerge as a serious standout contender/titleholder in his division, he blows it somehow. Either he loses or he just fades away.

I can't believe he offered to fight Taylor. The joke has finished as far as I'm concerned. perhaps his next opponent should be........Sonni Michael Angelo

For a moment I thought you were referring to
Jermain Taylor, and I was wondering what's not to like about that. Then I looked on that other thread and saw just which Taylor you were referring to.

I remember when he fought Echols, everyone over here in the US was saying Echols was going to KO "Bumdine" easily. Boy, did they get a shock!
But then Mundine lost to Siaca (a fight he was expected to win, if I remember correctly) and all his momentum went down the shitter.

Do I really need to explain that Echols was shot, again?

I like "bumdine" I like it a lot, suits him, cause his actions are showing us he is a bum

I think the WBA should immediately name an interim champion to replace the interim champion, and, they should also name an alternate interim champion in case the interim champion can not fulfill his obligations.

Kessler and Sortosin fight it out in Copenhagen on June 21. The WBA is not wasting time.

Kessler will be World Champ again. Is this for the interim, regular or super champion, and would you like fries with that?

Mundine is a fornicating joke of a man. If you want to be an elite athlete you should strive to be the best. Not fighting bum's for cash rather than fighting skilled opposition for status. Kessler would of thrown him around like a rag doll yet again....

It is for the vacant title, no salt, no special sauce and hold the chips.

Holy shit, I was just about to make a smart arse comment that he should fight Taylor because both of them are beyond a joke atm and you're saying he has? Fuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccccccck. He gets even more pathetic each and every day.
BTW, Taylor won't fight him anyway his record is too good.
I've also received Mundine's wishlist for his next three opponents leading into first US fight in preparation for a MW title. Makes for some good matchups, I'll be watching:
1. Paz Viejo
2. William Hadlow
3. Brendan Batty - Anthony is going to convince him to move up weight classes
4. Anthony Adams - this is going to be the fight to bring him into the big time in the US
