Interesting to see that Julian Jacksons sons have both qualified for the Olympics, can they punch as hard as dad??

What a fantastic story. Obviously they're from good stock, but two of you're kids getting to the Olympics? That's pretty special. They're dad looks like he's still in great shape himself.

They're dad was a fantastic fighter to watch and should have been a much bigger name. And to think what the guy could have done if he could haved seen properly. His knockouts of Terry Norris and Herol Graham have to be two of the best one-punch knockouts in boxing history. The one against Graham is truly chilling.

The one against Buster Drayton's pretty good too, especially the way Jackson points him on his way to the canvas when he lands the finishing punch.

Jackson had true 'Tiiiiimmmmbeerrr' power.

And I still think he was very unlucky in the first fight with Gerald McLellan. A clash of heads when he really had the G Man in a bit of bother turned the fight completely (not to say it wasn't a great finish by McLellan).

Good luck to his boys at the Games. Fantastic achievement.

Yeah Julian always seemed a decent guy outside of the ring, think he had a strong religious belief that stood him well.

Jackson v Drayton, watch the replay for Jackson pointing the way down. And Micky Duff in Darytons corner.

Jackson v Norris, basically Norris won every second of the fight, except the 10 seconds that count.

Unfortunately with the way Olympic boxing has 'evolved' even if they can punch it won't help them too much in getting far....I think there was only one genuine ko/tko in all of last olympic competition.

But it's a great achievement.

wow! One of my favourite fighters and arguably the pound for pound biggest puncher of all time. Glad to hear his sons are doing so well! :box:

Yep, for me he is p4p one of the most devastating, crippling punchers of all time.

As someone has stated his eyesight was terrible, imagine the havoc he could he unleashed with 20/20 vision!

Will look out for his nippers at the Olympics - a great achievement for the Jackson family!
