Why don't many big fights get sold on DVD afterwards? I

would have thought they could have made money. Pacman's for example or Barrera's.

Well I don't understand why some hall promoters don't sell DVD's at maybe a £5 a throw on Ebay for non-televised events.
They say overheads, but what overheads.... we are not expecting Martin Scorsese hear - many small hall shows hire a Camera man anyway.

Totally agree. I refuse to pay £15, but if a fight was £5 I'd buy it legally.

I've seen a few stalls set up at fights recently selling DVDs. At the last Thaxton fight at York Hall. Also the Witter Bradley fight in Nottingham. Mainly career collections - good value too. Not sure what the quality would be like though.
Has anyone seen the new Chavez DVD?

yes i saw them chinny, and my first thought was...'a pirate stall' .... but that would not be allowed at such a high profile event.

It's too biased for my liking (skips over the Whittaker fight and JCC getting his ass kicked for 35 mins and 48 seconds against Taylor) and referred to Morales as a 2 weight world champion.

Didn't Surgar Ray Leonard buy the rights to his last fight, a KO loss to Hector Camacho. That way it can never be shown again, as Ray won't let anyone use it.
unless you have youtube of course
