Is this match still scheduled to take place on the 24th of June?

If so, would anyone be so kind as to reveal whether or not it will be screened on British television - and on which channel?

After the farce that was Bonecrusher vs Joe Bugner, I very much doubt UK TV will show fights between two 40+ fighters again.

If they won't show Marquez v Vasquez 3 or Abraham v Miranda 2, and then they show this shit, I'll burn England to the ground.

BTW Spinks v Phillips was on Eurosport last night. I only caught the last 4 rounds, but the commentators felt that Spinks deserved it.

The commentating was embarrisingly bad for the undercard of Spinks vs Phillips.... sorry.... but Holdsworth completely wrote off 21 year old undefeated Devon Alexander and proclaimed he knew more after 14 fights, than he does. Devon Alexander is ranked #4 by the WBA.

Mee and Holdsworth had a bit of a spat over such a claim.... it was cringeworthy.

Alexander looks good from where I was watching, he's only a baby.

Thanks for the info.

To be honest I was fairly skeptical about it being broadcast over here with the pair of them being so long in the tooth and all.

The inquiry was on behalf of a very casual fan of boxing that I work with who just so happens to be of Ghanaian decent. Apparently in his native country, Nelson is still very much revered and would probably still be 'box office' if he laced up his gloves in his eighties.

I agree it probably won't be shown but I think these two proud men will come to fight
Apparently Fenech is in good shape

Alexander is very repetitive. He looks slick and talented, and hard to beat. But there is something missing with the guy, IMO.

I have that feeling too. For one, I don't think he's powerful enough to be a top dog.

I agree I don't think he is going to be an outstanding world champion or anything, but I think its a bit early to right him off like Holdsworth did. I think he is going to be at least around the world class for a long time.

Like Khan he makes mistakes, like Khan he can iron these out.
