If you was a pro boxer with huge potential and you had your pick which promoter would you sign with.

Golden Boy.

All promoters are crooks but I'd sign with Top Rank...they treat you better than most.

Would depend on my level of talent, but if I was a British world title prospect I'd go with Warren - whatever you think of him, no-one can dispute that he's made more British boxers set for life financially than anyone else.

Hennessy its easier to be an ambitiouse big fish in a small pond and he matches talented fighters hard.

Judging by the progress of Carl Froch's career it's most definitely not.

Have to be Warren, he pays well, and sets you up for a longer career, which means more paydays.
He also has the connections, i know Hennessey is supposed to have deals with Golden boy, but when has this actually happened for any of his boxers?

Golden Boy. Oscar has stated that he looks out for the boxers well-being and advises them to get their own lawyer as a manager - whilst King and Arum are notorious for ripping off their fighters. But as much stick as he gets on here Warren is good go as well. He makes sure his boxers are well paid - the knock is sometimes he makes poor matches but the boxer himself must demand harder matches as well - some boxers may not say as much but are quite content to knock over stiffs for a nice pay-check and I don't blame them - boxing is a hard, hard game. We may criticise boxers for taking soft touches/not stepping up but a boxers working time as a boxer is very short(ten years?) and at a major risk to health so it figures you should make as much money as you can with your health intact and get out. Though I appreciate that boxers who bang on like they are world beaters but have yet to face anyone remotely world-class deserve some/most of the criticism they get. I feel sorry for Hennessy as he tries to put on well matched fights throughout his bill which is commendable but the bottom-line is you've gotta make money as well - not near full house in terms of tickets for McDermott - Elcock is poor. I live in Leicester and hadn't heard anything about the fight in terms of advertisement okay it was in Coventry but there were advertisements and posters all over the place for the Khan fight which took place even further away in Birmingham.

Depends on how good they were. If they were a top level prospect assured of great things to come ... it definitely shouldn't be with allegedly.

Any person looking at Hennessey should take a look at Froch and especially Witter. A fighter with Witter style and age needs to fight more than he does. No doubt Warren has messed about some fighters in terms of progressing them( Alexander, Jennings, etc) but they are not the leading lights in his stable and in Alexander's case his desire was also to be questioned at times,something he has admitted to in the past

Also, dumping Thaxton in with Romanov was never gonna be a good idea. But even that doesnt top dropping David Walker in the deep end against that russian bodypunch killer. What exactly was the logic to that?

Its all good putting well matched fights for the fans but its not as though the fans appreciate it in terms of ticket sales

In terms of world prospect I would probably say Top Rank

Great point.

GBP do seem to poach a lot of their talent, i.e. accociation with companies like Sycuan who brought Guzman and Vazquez along.

They definitely know what to do with fighters who are coming to world class, but they made an absolute balls up with young Rey Bautista. I suppose we'll have to see what they do with their prospects like Mares, Daniel Jacobs, and other names that ppl have been raving about.

If I was a pro boxer I'd sign with Hayemaker, so that I could progress my career at breakneck speed and hammer Cotto in my 3rd fight
