Ok i'm trying to find an old thread about the former boxer Paul Sykes, but when i go to the search bit on the forum it just says no matches, am i doing something wrong?

No i think since they switched the look of the site it has rendered searching for old topics futile.

There's a few things about him on you tube if that's any help.

Yeah thanks, i watched them over the weekend.
Shame how his life ended up, he seemed to have intelligence, but just couldn't stop the hardman taking over.
Think 2 of his sons are no doing time for murder, no happy ending for any of them.
He did have talent as a boxer as well, looking at some of those clips , he had more about him then alot of the heavies in Britain today.

I've seen The Documentray on him (by Central TV) the bloke was fcuking hilarious.

"My Dad was a thick as a brick, he'd come home with dog shit on his shoes at least 3 times a week" (words to that effect)

Paul Sykes's theory on punishment was if somebody did something wrong "you give a good fcuking punch in the earhole" - it doesn't look like the theory worked with his sons though

Unless the search is no good, the only posts with his name are in this topic.

I suppose with Sykes snr's genes and parental skills left them with little chance.
You do have to take responsibility for your own actions though
