He must have had one hell of a chin, he lost 68 but only 5 by KO

Papa Hemingway wrote about him in "50 Grand"
His son Horace related some great stories to me some yrs ago.
His Mgr wrote a great career synopsis on him in "The Ring" around 1933 or so.
