I liked the fight scenes, and Will Smith did pretty well but overall it was very uneven and at times dull.

It won't happen but a sequel dealing with what happened to him after Zaire might be a better bet.

I liked the scene where Belinda is ripping King and Mobutu...It is historically inaccurate though...She confronted him in Manilla not Kinshasha about his cheating...

The scene where Budini meets Ali for the first time is intertesting...It shows Budini's mystic qualities...He was from Sanford,Florida a town near where I live...

I enjoyed the scene where he met Malcom X...

As far as the fighting...We all saw Ali fight...

I didnt like it...was over hyped and over sold. Many that saw
when we were kings' and who were non boxing fans were
looking forward to it.

I think the flick was overly Hollywoodised and I suppose
at times simplified for mass appeal.

Toney was pretty cool.

My GF HATED it but for some reason she hates anything
to do with Ali, though she is a Will Smith fan.

As boxing movies goes it was ok.

The movie of "The Greates" starring Muhammad Ali himself, to me, was way better than that garbage of movie by Will Smith.

I'd rather watch the real thing.

A while back ESPN Classic showed a series of six 45 minute episodes which are brilliant for putting Ali into the context of his time.

The Fights and Times of Muhammad Ali

Sheer gold.

It's rubbish, Smith didn't capture Ali's wit or intelligence at all.
Toney was quite good as Frazier though

I liked it. I was expecting not to, but then I did.

Toney has just watched Rocy III too many times.

I was really disappointed. Great cast, great Director and a great performance by Smith but the film felt boring. How they managed to make a movie about one of the most interesting people of the 20th Century boring is beyond me.

Will is a good actor. He can play Ali's mimic, but he's just too small.

How about Tyson movie, not the documentary one. The actor got Oscar in "Ray", well I forget his name, will play as Tyson.

Raging Bull and Cinderella Man are equal quality of boxing movie. What do you think?

Jamie Foxx mate. Isn't Peter Berg directing it?

I didn't like Smith in this. Cuba Gooding JR would have been a better choice IMO.

Jamie Foxx played Bundini Brown... He captured the man's mystical qualities...

Michael Mann directed Ali...

Are you talking about someone else?

I think Spike Lee or Sydney Lumet would have done a better job...

No. I didn't like it. I didn't like the movie about Tyson either.

No boxing movie is as good as Raging Bull.
