2 more fights for Hatton!!! But who?

So who would you like him to face??

For me its Malignaggi at the garden and then Pacman at Wembley....I think Pacman has dispelled any rumours he is too small, the beating Diaz took was sick

Beating Diaz was at Lightweight not Light Welter though and he beat a limited fighter.

Hatton will walk through Manny.

If he only has two more fights left then why is he fighting that no-mark Malignaggi?

He should fight Pacquiao and then Cotto if he really only has two fights left.

Cotto would destroy him. There'd be no post-fight party for Ricky after that. Not how he'd want to end his career. Hatton-Pac I see as 50-50 now.

I don't know why Hatton feels the need to tell us he only has two fights left. Why doesn't he just wait and see?

If he lost to Cotto then he could just have an easier send off fight afterwards, easy as that.

"In the New Year I'm hoping to fight either Manny Pacquiao or Oscar de la Hoya at Wembley Stadium in front of 100,000 people and after that I'll probably retire," added Hatton. (BBC)

There's no way in hell Hatton will take on Oscar de la Hoya. He's just name dropping like Amir Khan and Joe Calzaghe.

The problem with the myth of Hatton and Calzaghe they always try and take the easy option. He only faught Mayweather because he got paid a shit load.

I think deep down Ricky knew Mayweather would beat him and that he could always say afterwards that he lost to the best P4P boxer on the planet.

But I don't think he expected to get knocked out and that's what hurt his pride.

I do't think fighting Cotto would be a wise move for Hatton, especially as Ricky will want to end his career on a high note, with a victory. No way does Hatton defeat Cotto, who I believe is still improving at only 27 years of age. Ricky, if anything, has seen better days.

Hatton won't take Cotto - Ricky's not stupid. I don't think Hatton would be able to outbox Cotto & he certainly wouldn't be able to stand there & trade with him. Anyway, even if Ricky were to consider a bout with Cotto, I think Billy Graham would advise him not take it. Graham made no bones of the fact that he didn't want Ricky boxing Collazo & Cotto is a much better fighter than Collazo ever will be.

Hatton will face Malignaggi & then Pacquiao.

Hattons messing up the lightweight scene, Pacquaio has done ZILCH at lightweight and should be fighting the winners of Guzman-Campbell and Cassamayor-Marquez. Pacs not fighting these in his Novemeber fight and if hes fighting Hatton in April won't fight them at all it seems. If Hatton beats Pacquaio without Pacman facing the top lightweights it does little or nothing for his legacy and robs us of the top lightweight clashes

We know Malignaggi is next up and his number one choice for his final fight is Pacman.

Cotto - Mosley - Judah - Bradley - Witter - would interest me.

PM will beat Hatton as long as he does not break his hand.

Hatton takes the easiest path, Pacman is a normal sized lightweight and Hatton is a big Lt Welter.

Hatton is so overrated Pac man might just do it - but who cares?

Retire now and do us ALL a favour.

Malignaggi will beat Hatton if he doesn't break his hand? He lost to Ngoudjo and N'Dou and probably produced his best boxing with a broken hand in those fights. He became more elusive and used his frigging jab a lot more - it's a sexy one as well.

Hatton will be stopped by PM.

PM is fast and Hatton is easy to hit.

A light puncher - but Hatton is on the way out. Hatton is a bully.

He couldn't even look good against an old Juan Lazcano ffs...there's no way any serious champion has any problem with fighting Hatton. He'll get hammered by Pac-Man or Cotto.

Malignaggi has no punch at all. Hatton should be favourite there, but with teh clash of styles I cannot see it being a classic.

Hatton does not have the power to make an impression at Welterweight. Cotto, Williams, Margarito would knock him out. He should stay at light welter.

Personally I would like to see him fight Witter. There would be a good bit of needle involved and I would put the money on Witter to spark Hatton.

Cheers for those pearls of wisdom mate....

A dire effort v Malignanni, where neither look good and Hatton wins, then a tear-up with PacMan....have to flick a coin for that one.

Well its typical of Hatton, whoever he fights and at what weight will no doubt be greeted with pages of "what a pudendum, he's ducking so and so, blah de blah what about Witter" from the womens sewing circle on here

He just fought Floyd fornicating Mayweather and people wee complaining, FFS

I can't argue with that, it was my arguent as well, but we've discussed that a thousand times......

.....it'll be Malignanni then Pacquaio, I can't see any major surprises, even though he could have gone for sterner challenges a little earlier (no, not Witter!) like a Cotto. Cotto's too big now....

That said, finishing with a resume like this is no bad effort: Tszyu, Mayweather, Castillo, Phillips, Malignanni, Collazo, Maussa, Thaxton (considering where he is now), Tackie, Pacquaio, Urango etc.

There will be plenty of IFS and BUTs whatever happens.........there always are.

You can take Maussa, Philips and Thaxton off that list for a start.

Tszyu and Castillo were way past there prime.

That leaves a lucky win over Collazo, a boreathon against Urango and a severe spanking by Mayweather. Let`s call it for what it is.

You don't think Phillips, Thaxton and Maussa were decent fighters? And you feel Tszyu grew old overnight? Whether you like it or not he got in and had a go against Mayweather, even though he lost, and he finished Castillo with a brutal shot (everyone on here was raving about for a week).

I said it was "no bad effort", I didn't say it was comparable with Hearns and Duran.

How was Tszyu "way past his prime" given what he'd done in his previous fight? Who here had Ricky to beat him?

I didn't, I thought Tszyu would KO him.

I didn't start it, I'm just bringing some logic to proceedings!

Though Urango and Maussa are hardly massive names, they were still champs, albeit weak as piss.
