Haye is in la la land

Just who does this guy think he is.
He is again having a go at Wlad who really has never said a bad thing about anyone. As far as I'm concerned Haye is still a cruiserweight until he actually fights at heavyweight (discounting that bar fight at heavyweight a few years ago). He has not even fought there but he talks like wlad has been ducking him for years.
In his setanta interview this morning he said watching him will be like a scene in the matrix (I don't remember Neo getting knocked out by a 42 year old Carl Thomspon).
He also compared fighting wlad to the time he fought alexander gurov.......Alexander fu%&*ng Gurov is he having a laugh i think there is a slight difference between the two.
I hope he gets Ko'd.
Thanks for listening

Yeah sure he's cocky, but he is already a breath of fresh air in an otherwise dire division.

No Klit will touch him, poor David Haye... imagine a Klit afraid of a little pounding

Time of course will tell if Haye really can "cut the mustard" at HW. Moving up and targetting the top man is IMO rather a silly move. Maybe in a year from now if he beats a couple of credible HWs. He wants to be the next Lennox Lewis but I think he needs to test the waters before fighting Klitty. Klitty isnt the most exciting HW but his record proves he gets the job done. Haye seems to think he can join the firm and take over as the managing director straight away and that could be his downfall.

Oh FFS have you never heard of PR and Marketing ?
Hatred as well as fanatism sells tickets.
Ask Naz.
80% were paying to see him get his head knocked off.
At least he's doing something to get the taste buds flowing.
Good on him. If he backs it up in the ring, even better.

Haye is a bloody boxer and regardless of what people say TV loves his personality and cannot get enough of him and are also willing to pay big bucks to secure his services, regardless of what his doubters say on here.

Haye is a very good cruiserweight fighter, but a crap personality. I actually prefer Audley Harrison, to David Haye!
So you think AH has personality, I think you are a bit alone with that opinion. Haye doesnt have the Hatton factor, I agree, but he is no worse than Carl Froch for telling us he is unbeatable. AH is a joke, he makes claims he just cannot back up. At least Haye and Froch fight without fear and fight to win.

I understand why people want to get these guys knocked out...
But why does everyone have to support someone who thinks they are god!? It's glory supporting.
Everyone seems to worship Cristiano Ronaldo in football. WHY!? he's a complete prick! Sure he is successful, but there isn't an ounce of humility in him. David Haye is the same, and everyone worships him. Even though he is an idiot.
Say what you like about Danny Williams, but I support him, because he seems to be a decent person. So what if he isn't the best!? Thats why football fans support lower ranked teams, because they are underdogs.
And fighters like frank bruno are decent personalities, and are good fighters.....I just hope that will happen again, instead of hothead twats like Haye.
I dont think its anything like glory supporting at all. Most of the Haye fans have been fans of his since day 1, as far as I remember all his pro fights have been on TV as well as his fights at the World amateurs, most of these fans supported him even tho he lost to Thompson, so for example I have supported him right the way through, and now he has done well at Cruiserweight and was Undisputed champ. I dont see any similarity with that and suddenly turning up and supporting someone or a team because they are the best right then.

Didn't you know David was working on his back flip in Cyprus ?
Add a bit of humiliation and we're there !
Get over it.
I hated Eubank for years, but I loved the guy in reality.

Didn't any one think Haye looked fat on the segments on Setanta last night.

Yeah i can see the Naz comparisons in the way Haye is trying to hype a fight.
I'm not so sure it suits Haye, but its getting him noticed around the world so why not keep it going.
I've been a fan of boxing long enough not to bother listening to half of whats said anyway, as long as the fights actually come off, i'm happy.

I actually don't see the Naz comparisons. Haye is at least fairly articulate and this derision of Wlad is something new to the Haye lexicon. I honestly believe he's just trying to sell a bog fight as soon as possible. Naz on the other hand was hated, rightly, because he's the sort of little prick you see razzing around your area in his suped up Capri on nicked alloys blaring out stupefyingly crap music out of his silly knockoff stereo and endangering the lives of children. The type of twat who pretends to have a west-indian accent even though he's from Yorkshire and his parents from Yemen. "ay bwaay I is from de moors innit?"

haha good Naz assesment MrBassie, i was just comparing Haye to Naz in the way David is now trying to get a title fight, the hyping and badmouthing of opponents.
I'm not saying they are the same outside of the boxing spectrum.
but did enjoy your post

I have to disagree with the comparison to Naseem. Naseem was in a different league when it came to entertaining both inside and out of the ring. No fighter comes close. Naseem was hilarious to listen to, still is! As he says himself, he was soomtimes embarrassed by what he was saying, but it was a show and he always did it with a smile and tongue in cheek. His ring entrances, acrobatics, imense power, unorthodox style made him one of the mot exciting fighters to grace the ring. Haye on the other hand is leagues below this and his verbal attacks on klit are silly - he is just been offensive.
He's been knocked down numerous times and is not even a well seasoned fighter, very inactive.

I've never understood why people get so worked up about the personalities of boxers. Half of the time they're just bullshitting and exaggerating in order to generate publicity and hype. All of us know this, yet there are still people who take it all seriously.

This is why Mayweather can afford to retire and why Mayorga is still getting fights.
Would you be interested in Haye saying how fantastic Wlad's boxing skills are and fans should appreciate his caution first approach?
Of course not, he's just saying what Setanta and everyone want him to hear, that he'll come in, clear up the division and excite everyone.

haye's at least put his name out there with this new bad boy persona.
it's a bit embarassing compared to that respectful young man of a few years ago.
but if he gets him in the ring with the top boy then so be it.
just a bit disappointed that we've gotta wait till november to see him in action again.

Really don't see a problem with Haye - he is articulate, charasmatic, and is just 'banging the drum' and calling out the World Heavyweight Champion the way many contenders have historically.
"Contender calls out Champ"
And in our next story we report on bear excrement discovered in a wood.

Because outside of the ring this not only sells tickets, for whatever reasons the media buy into it and TV like the personality thing and so when you see people getting worked up about the personality thing as you put it, you should realise its the sort of thing which can earn money and in some cases put a zero or 2 on the end of a figure being offered.

Haye is trying to talk his way into a title fight. As him and his team my not believe in his chin holding up in the heavyweight divs.

Harrison doesn't come to the ring with 5 or more ring girls, westwood voice overs, flashing lights. Its like Haye is in clubland. I hate that. Just fight and get on with it.
At least naz could backflip and humiliate fighters IN the ring. Haye pisses me off.[/quote]
Well Haye and Harrison say they holiday together, maybe the A-force gene has currupted Haye's senses accept he Isn't afraid to fight.
