I hope so. Hennessy have got a lot of good fighters and they need airing.

Barker, as well. Is Purdy with Hennessy? - I know he fought on 1 or 2 of his shows.

Will Khan carry on with ITV, or go to Setanta now? Will Warren have a problem with other promoters getting on the same channel?

Well the September 6th show does contain Setanta fighters except for Khan?

I had heard they were in negotiations (Sultana and FW), but were a bit wide of the mark at the time. That was a few weeks ago.

With the Khan negotiations not going well and the Audley bill being scrapped, I bet relations between Sultana and FW/SN are :x :-? :o  :(

there was rumours that Warren was talking to BBC, maybe the BBC are looking at what happens to the boxers from the Olympics, as they will be airing those fights.

You've only got yourself (and your Billy Graham interview) to blame

He never did take up the offer to talk did he. I think we need him back here to clear things up.
I concur! he's gone awfully quiet.

(I shouldn't have had that second one on my lunch :-? I'm still giggling at Khaosai-Galaxys "sorry i meant, shit post" post  )

I mentioned it on another thread - Khan appears to be the key to any deal other than Setanta.

SKY are rumoured to have offered Frank a 6 fight deal for Khan fights - There is also a rumour the Beeb are in on the running, but no mention of any details.

The relationship between Setanta and Warrén is rumoured to be at an all time low, so I will be surprised if Khan shows up there.

If Hennessey have snuck in and grabbed a deal with ITV, then good on them - It appears from the outside that tv companies are finally wising up a little to certain bogus match making.

Lots of little flings going on here.

Can anyone confirm that Warren/Setanta are falling out? Obviously the cracks came with one David Haye.

Hennessy is known for putting on the quality fights. But with a long term ITV contract, will he become the thing he despises, i.e. feeding his guys easy opponents (just kidding).

Funny if we see Frank's fighters back on Sky. Some ppl are saying he's going to disappear on Internet PPV only but I don't believe that.

All very interesting. I thought Warren would be best at Setanta, if they were putting pressure on (allegedly) to make the best bouts.

Great news if Hennessey is signing with ITV, good, meaningful match ups on a terrestrial channel can only be good news for boxing.

I doubt Khan will be re-signing Khan with ITV as he's removed the ITV logo from his website now.

Murray to become next ITV star?

I'll bet Murray's recent success made the package a lot more tempting.

I can see Khan and the rest of stable back on sky simply cause amir at the stage where he will be box office. I cant see Hennessy stable being big enough for ITV. By the way ITV have splashed out big on England football and fa cup.

How many genuine ticket selling bill toppers there though? Froch and maybe Murray and Witter. Hennessy is isn't gonna do much better than FW did on there. He will probably deliver even less as it happens, because he doesn't have the financial power or the prmotional ability to deliver big fights.

Will ITV offer very few actual TV dates? How many will be on ITV1 and how many on ITV4?

Hennesy can do something positive for boxing - putting on competitive fights on mainstream TV. Boxing can actually look like a SPORT, where we see guys really competing in there.

Mick does have potential stars with Murray, Barker & Froch. They're all promising and exciting. Thaxton makes for a compelling story - his EBU title fight is a tasty one. There's plenty of good stuff here. Murray can replace Khan as young lightweight star, etc.

The exposure will be there for guys like these. But will the money?

Interesting stuff all this. I would find it very hard to believe that Setanta or SN have pulled out on their deal, before its properly started... surely there would be massive court cases that could make put one of the companies in some financial trouble.

Is there anything in the Setanta press releases to suggest that if say Enzo Mac fights on a Khan bill, that his fight can be shown on the network that is showcasing the Khan bill - kind of like ITV's last deal with Khan.

Art of War,
Are you taking the piss ?
Witter - a genuine ticket selling headliner ?
Which planet have you been on ?
I just can't see a 10 fight deal unless Meaty Mick has some signings up his sleeve.
What's left if Khan beats Murray, Froch loses his tilt at the World Title, and will Witter get another chance ?

Does Hennessy still have Witter??

It is very good news for Hennessy and very good news for the boxing fan.

You mention Hennessy's financial clout, you are wrong there he has a fair bit and a lot more than people realise. Where many people would have faded into the background in difficult times with regards to TV deals and number of shows after the BBC debacle, Hennessy kept going and someway kept his fighters active.

I do however, think Hennessy is going to have to dig deep into his pockets and his very good circle of backers, I say this because from what I am hearing ITV are getting Hennessy a lot cheaper than they did Warren due to them not having someone of the pulling power of Calzaghe or Khan.
