It is generally accepted that Shannans best days are long gone. He has 5 wins & a tech draw from his last 6. Clearly none of these were for big money.He apparently chose Dondon Sultan who can whack a bit but has 1 win from 6 starts in OZ over a "live" opponent in Junior Talepau. Is he fighting on because he has nothing else to do or is there some point to these bouts which escapes me?

Shannon reckons that Geale is avoiding him!

thats really sad for shannon as he was an exellent fighter i dont know if he could of ever been a world champion but a very cood top contender, one has to wonder how much the drugs did to him

i didnt see his fight mate but i thought the drugs would have done him over

sorry mate, i should have clarified my comment. he was working the corner one night, i think it was clenshaw or joel burke fighting, and he was on planet pluto.....farkin off his head.

doesnt suprise me... but also getting hit in the head for a living and doing drugs aswell fry's your brain pretty quickly

taylor practically begged his corner to stop the fight against Andreas Seran. they relented and taylor KO'd him in the following round....i dont know whether that was a positive or a negative for taylor.

the guy needs money, thats why he'll keep fighting.

when did he actually hit the white powder? after he got KO'd by sugar shane? a week or so before he went out to vegas to fight shane i met him in a bar in kings cross, he was doing a little promo gig to promote the fight...got a foto taken with him and shook his hand and wished him luck...i thought he was a diamond geezer back then.

I belive all his money went up his arm. As i remember Jeff Fenech years ago saying he was pissed off to learn that Taylor was on the junk way before the Mosely fight and all he did in Vegas was ask for money to get a quick fix.

Really? I had heard the stories of him being out all night before mosely but to be on the H at the same time as fighting for a world title? What a joke no way could you win a title fight while abusing drugs.
