I wonder if he always did get 10% of the purse?
Often then big money is being earned deals are struck, and the Hatton's have a reputation for being tight!

I don't think Graham would have shared so much in the PPV bonanza's but an estimate of how much he earned from Hatton fights alone? Over the last ten years? £1.5 to £2m perhaps. Nice money and enough to buy a nice house stateside but over that sort of period not megabucks by any means..

I don't there is a single trainer in the game that has earned the same amount as Billy Graham for the same period of time.
In the states they work on a fixed amount, not percentages by most accounts.
World champions like Bute ect prob earn around £300k a year ($600,000) so for a trainer to £600 grand or so from one fight like Lazcano is pretty amazing.
Fair play to him I say.

Lets get things into perspective.
Billy has worked for Ricky for 11 years.
I dont think £2m is way off the mark.
That's £181,818 per annum - GROSS.
Roughly that's £120,000 net.
That's £2500 per week.
That's £416.66 per day, assuming a six day week.
I know this is a simpleton's approach, but when you break it down like that, it's not mega bucks is it ?
This brings back memories of the infamous Ingle Naz split - all about how much the Trainer earned.
Not every boxer has the success that the likes of Hatton has had, financially, but every boxer needs a trainer.
What Naz forgot was the investment Brendan put into him from the age of 11 - with no guarantee of a return.
Everyone deserves their cut.
