Commonwealth order Amidu for Mitchell

This could be a very hard fight for Kevin Mitchell, the commonwealth board have put Yakubu Amidu as his next challenger, the man from Ghana is 16-1-1 with 16 Ko's.
His only loss was by majority decision to world class Ali Funeka.
Will Warren want to take on a risky fight like this for little reward for his boxer?

Wow, that could be one hell of a fight! I hope it goes ahead. Amidu fought 6' 1" (roughly) Lightweight Funeka and pushed him to an MD - that is very impressive.
You can see Funeka KO Raheem here:

I really cannot see this fight happening.
I expect a vacating of the title as this guy sounds like a real handful and Mitchell has seemingly looked less than stellar in a few recent outings. Especially on the Pavlik undercard he was getting hit with everything and was lucky to get the stoppage when he did. I know there was circumstances and change of opponent from othadox to southpaw which didn't help the lad, but even so.
No, i think he will definitely swerve this fight.

Title will be vacated, probably to be reaplced by a WBO world title eliminator or something.
Either way, far, far too dangerous.

He says he won't fight Cook, but he would fight Arthur.
On the less impressive side of Amidu's record he has a draw with Georgie Ashie, although Mitchell had plenty of trouble with him.
