Vic Darchinyan looked really good in picking up the IBF Super Flyweight Title with a fifth round KO of Dimitri Kirilov. He looked liked he really wanted it so hopefully he has his head in the right place and we won't see another lapse like he had in the Nonito Donaire fight.

So what did you think of the fight and what next for Vic? Will he get a shot at the likes of Mijares, Munoz or Montiel?

I totally agree, I think Darchinyan looked the best he ever has. He actually used his right hand to set up his Left. He had better footwork also.

Yeah, I think he got his hunger back and he realised he had some improvement in him and worked hard to achieve it.

I want to see him fight Fernando Montiel or Jorge Arce, Forget Donaire he cant sell tickets to his fights so why give him a payday?

I'm going to guess that to Vic' it will be very important to him to correct the only loss on his record and defeat Donaire. The money might not be great, but I don't think that will matter much.

its a bit clearer than the full fight i watched last night on some other thread. it looked like vic pushed him the 2nd knockdown but on the foxsports one you can see his head wobble back. very good win,vic. is he armenian or australian??

armenian born, australian resident. Not sure what he would call himself if you asked him though. (boxrec have him as Armenian though)

when he's winning we'll claim him. but he was armenian when he lost.

That is a huge fight. Vic's biggest test to date if it actually comes off.
