That would be a bout for the ages...
You're too much of a purist...Wepner-Cobb has infinite possibilities for entertainment value...Both went fifteen rounds with two of the greatestheavyweight boxers to ever live although only one finished the fifteenth round...Flump wrote:Yeah, forget Robinson-Monzon, this is the one we all want! Randall by late rounds cuts stoppage, the ref would be a busy man, as would the local dry cleaners.
Don't get me wrong big guy, i'd love to have seen this! I wouldn't have loved to have been in the front two rows though, unless I was auditioning for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre immediately afterwards.TheOneIsHere2008 wrote:You're too much of a purist...Wepner-Cobb has infinite possibilities for entertainment value...Both went fifteen rounds with two of the greatestheavyweight boxers to ever live although only one finished the fifteenth round...Flump wrote:Yeah, forget Robinson-Monzon, this is the one we all want! Just watch round 8 of Shavers-Cobb and you will know what I mean...
And I always confuse the two...But Cobb's distinguished career as a thespian distinguishes him...

And Uncommon Valor is a great movie!
Andre the Giant v Chuck Wepner has a certain masochistic appeal too...
