i wonder if the valuev fight will be on.
anyone send them encouragement to show this fight too?
it's a shame that we wouldn't get to watch kali meehan on the undercard. although it should be a ko in the 1st round anyway.

Theres honestly no point.
Because the Klitschko Thompson fight got the worst ratings of any program pretty much.
But another thing, the fight will be on way to early in the morning, AKA the Klitschko thompson fight, even worse ratings.
Boxing can become a major success on Channel Ten. But only 3 fighters can make it a success. E.G If they showed Katsidis, Vic or Mundine. The ratings would be absolutely through the roof. And boxing would be showed a lot more often.
Im actually confident that if channel 10 were to show a fight with either 3. The revenue from advertisements would probably double the profit main event make from showing these fighters fight. Which is around 200 K for Vic and Katsidis. And in excess of 800K from Mundine.

How do you know that? Worse ratings than any program at 4am?

i can't imagine it having the worst ratings in its timeslot.
and at that time the ratings would be ordinary unless it was a real big event.
they obviously saw something in it to put the klitschko fight on.

cant remember where i read it or heard it (may be on here) but has anyone else heard that mundine isnt actually allowed to fight on saturday nights?
apparently the NRL "banned" him from saturday night bouts so as not to "interfere" with the sport he fcuked over.

When he walked out on Rugby League that was part of the terms of his release... it wouldn't still be in effect though, I'm pretty sure it only lasted for has long as he had left on his contract...

Didn't rank in the top 100.
They had it on AM radio. And the statistics report.

Nah they can't impose such a ban.
He imposes it on himself though. I mean on saturdays hes competing with a lot.
On wednesday nights, its just home and away.

I just checked the OzTam ratings and they didn't even release a figure for it. Oh and they only had figures 38 programs the day it was on...
Keep trying son.

i know this has nothing to do with this thread title but did u hear mundine paid sonny bill's $800,000 fine!!! that is very unlike mundine who is a very tight fisted fellow when it comes to the peso's.
wonder what the ulterior motive here is?

The Klitschko-Thompson fight was part of "the bigger picture" for Ch 10, who are looking at launching an all-sport channel on their digital platform.

No im not lying here.
Im telling you the truth, Klitschko vs Thompson didn't rate in the top 100 programs of that day, or week?
But you can call channel ten. And they will confirm the same thing. The guys at ESB know this aswell. Do a search for the thread there.
There is a site releasing broadcasting statistics and they had it on aswell.

Ulterior motive? Thats peanuts to him.
I heard he offered Sakio a big offer earlier in the year. And now hes done it again to Sturm. Waiting to see what Sturm does.
Hes got the cash flow, not to worry about it.

I think there showing one of the Hussein brothers cards aswell. In the coming months.
But the Klitschko vs Thompson, was a failure for Ten!

I seriously doubt that. Especially since Haumono is now on PPV. Must be saying something about how Mundines cards have performed against the lesser opponents.

what r u talking about man? hes not "offering" sonny bill a purse or anyhting...hes just paying his fine for him to release him from the NRL contract.
offering money to bika and sturm for fights has nothing to do with it.

I really hope they do show the Hussien Cards, The 3 of them are a credit to the sport in this country. If all the Boxers and trainers were as dedicated and decent , the sport would be far better off in this country.

A guy at my gym has assured me Ten will show it. I don't know whether its live or not. I would expect it to be on around 10:30, im guessing at time.

Also just to clarify another point, Mundine didn't pay Sonny Bill's fine. Mundine, Nasser and Sonny are co owners of a management company. They sourced money form that company to pay the fine. Sonny will then have to 're-invest' that amount of money in the company when he gets payed by the rugby club.

What a shitty business decision by Sonny.
