Former IBF light welterweight champ Lovermore Ndou is calling out Anthony Mundine, challenging him to meet him at middleweight. The 37-year-old South African, training out of Australia, is rated No. 2 at welterweight.

AUSTRALIA'S former world boxing champion Lovemore Ndou has come out swinging in search of Anthony Mundine.

The man who held the same IBF junior-welterweight title as Kostya Tszyu says he would gladly fight the much bigger Mundine and has challenged him to show he really is "The Man".

Ndou, 37, who narrowly missed out on regaining his world title against New Yorker Paulie Malignaggi in front of 57,000 fans in Manchester in May, says he'll gladly give away up to 8kg to face Mundine as a 72kg middleweight.

"It's not a matter of size, it's a matter of skill," Ndou said.

"I would love to fight Mundine. He says he wants to take on the best middleweights (72kg) in the world, but let's see how he goes against a junior-welterweight (64kg) first. In terms of skill, I would give him a boxing lesson.

"Mundine looked dreadful against (Japanese fighter) Crazy Kim last month.

"I'm old enough and small enough for Mundine to see me as a prospective opponent."

Mundine gave up his WBA super-middleweight title rather than fight a return with Dane, Mikkel Kessler.

No way should this go ahead. Mundine is running out of time to build a real rep. He must step up and fight a champion now.
I am sure I am not telling anyone anything they don't already know but for the visiter to this site Mundine has been a 'world champion ' twice but has never beaten a world Champion.

And the guy he lost to Manny Sciaca lost the title first up (from memory)
C'mon Choc ignore Lovemore and go after someon with some cred at middleweight, or go on to Gladiator now

I watched Soliman fight Ndou awhile back in a 3 rounder, They where almost the same size, Anyway I,d love to see Mundine KTFO Ndou except that i know its a bad fight for what fans he has left. If he can back this fight up with a Title fight next then maybe it could be ok, Not a PPV fight.
